Both the current subplots for this episode revolve around her though: Magearna was Lillie's subplot and she’s the one who needs to train for Z-Move.
I hope we get lots of Gladion focus though, but SM writers don’t seem to share my hopes and wishes.

I'm not expecting Lilie to accomplish anything in this episode. "Z-move training" is just an excuse to bring others to her home, and Mageana probably has something with their father's disappearance.

I don't think it does. They weren't even at the same place when Mohn disappeared.

We know that Magearna lacks a soul-heart, yet there is something inside of it. Mohn's spirit might be transfered into it, or Mohn's Zoroark might be hiding inside of it.

Since the league's starting the next episode, I fully expect Lillie performing subzero slammer in this one.
And the energy from the Z-Move might even do something to activate Magearna.

The previous post was something I don’t want to happen, but I expect to happen, knowing the writers.

Lillie already mastered her Z-Move offscreen during SM123, so I'm expecting she'll Friendship ex Machina Megearna into working order in time for the League and know how to use it in battle

Not necessarily. Training off-screen does not necessarily equal off-screen move perfection.
