Battle Pass 20 arrives in Pokémon UNITE with new Mewtwo Holowear – Holiday events launch alongside new balancing changes with Version 1.13.1.2 update

Battle Pass 20 has arrived in Pokémon UNITE, bringing new holowear for Sableye and Mewtwo, along with other assorted rewards for players. The Version 1.13.1.2 patch has also dropped this week, enabling the Holiday events that were announced previously as well as bringing balancing changes to a wide selection of Pokémon.

Battle Pass 20 arrives!
Battle Pass 20 is now live for all players in-game. In addition to the usual variety of new daily lessons and missions, and rewards for players to redeem including in-game currency and different booster items, this pass also adds two new pieces of Holowear, Dark Magician Style: Sableye and Dark Lord Style: Mewtwo. A teaser trailer was posted to the official Pokémon UNITE channel on YouTube alongside the release of this new pass, highlighting these two new pieces of Holowear.

Players can raise their level through regular gameplay as they complete daily lessons and Battle Pass missions, receiving in-game Battle Pass rewards each time they level up. Free-to-play players will still however be able to receive an amount of Aeos Coins, Aeos Tickets, Item Enhancers, and a Season 16 Rank Protection Card from the Battle Pass.

As usual, the most desirable content is gated off specifically for paying players. This time around, the game is offering two different offers for purchasing the Battle Pass, those being Premium Pass and Premium Pass Plus. Both offers are compared in the table below.

The regular Premium Pass costs 490 Aeos Gems, while the Premium Pass Plus costs 840 Aeos Gems and will only be available for a limited time. Upon purchase of either Premium Pass, players will immediately receive Dark Magician Style: Sableye, along with Premium Missions. Those who have purchased the Premium Pass Plus will also receive a Battle Pass Level Raiser, and a Dark Lord Style: Mewtwo Sticker. The Dark Lord Style: Mewtwo holowear meanwhile can only be obtained by leveling up on the Premium Battle Pass all the way to Level 99 for Dark Lord Style: Mewtwo (X), and Level 100 for Dark Lord Style: Mewtwo (Y).

Dark Magician Style: Sableye features Audio/Visual FX for KO and Movement. Dark Lord Style: Mewtwo meanwhile features Audio/Visual FX for Unite Move, Scoring, Returning, KO and Movement, as well as different outfits for both mega-evolution forms.

Players who have not obtained Mewtwo's UNITE Licenses will also get a special discount on both Mewtwo UNITE Licenses by purchasing either Premium Pass option, reducing the price of each UNITE License to 595 Aeos Gems.

New patch brings Holiday events and balancing changes!
Version 1.13.1.2 has been released, launching the previously announced Holiday events, and implementing new balancing changes for a range of different Pokémon. Urshifu, Mew, Inteleon, Mimikyu and Hoopa have each suffered nerfs, while Dragapult, Greninja, Alolan Ninetales, Tsareena, Cramorant and Mr. Mime have been buffed.

As of this update, the previously announced Ranked Match changes have now been implemented, including new regulation about EX Licenses for Master-rank players. Another change, not specified earlier, is that players at Great: Class 5, Expert: Class 5, Veteran: Class 5, and Ultra: Class 5 ranks will not experience a class decrease even if they lose.

  • Certain Unite licenses have become Unite EX licenses (or “EX licenses” for short) and are marked with an EX icon.

• Regulations
  • There will be special regulations for ranked matches that have one or more Master-rank players participating in them.
