Ok, we'll imagine Game Freak have decided to make the next Pokemon game's Pokedex based entirely on the posts in this thread.

Rules:

Once a Pokemon has been entered, it's entire evolutionary family is in the dex.
First 100 posts decide the dex, this gives us a large dex, maybe around 300 Pokemon.
Duplicate posts are ignored, a post for Wartortle and Squirtle are counted as duplicates.
Mention me in your post and I'll update the dex as soon as I can. (use '@' symbol + my username to mention me)
You may post as much as you want, so long as you don't double post.
If we reach our goal quickly, I think we'll do further rounds to determine Gyms, how our region looks, the region name, E4 etc

There is now a regional variant of the Beldum evolutionary line. They are Steel/Dark. The regional Metagross has a cannon and rocket launchers on its back.

Honestly love these ideas! If anyone wants to mock up art for their suggestion, or someone else's suggestion, please feel free to!

Regional Relicanth
Rock
Levitate
High HP/Def/Atk

A Pokemon that appears better suited for the ocean at first glance, Relicanth floats in desert regions in search of minerals to eat. It was once thought to be a bad omen to see a Relicanth in the desert, meaning that there was no source of water near by.

@TM28 Can we add older Pokemon without regional forms? If I can, then I'll add Dedenne.
Here's my first new Pokemon (two stage line), based on the sea urchin.

Urtox
Water/Poison
Poison Point/Water Absorb
Urtox is a small, spiny Pokemon that sits on underwater surfaces. Touching them is toxic. Urtox's poison can cause fever, drowsiness, and vomiting.

Poisurchin
Water/Poison
Poison Point/Water Absorb
Poisurchin has evolved its toxins to be more deadly. A single prick can land you an extended visit to the hospital.

@TM28

Porygon, only with two alternate final evolutions:

Porygon-CS (CS meaning "cybersecurity"), Normal/Rock - High defense stats
Porygon-CW (CW meaning "cyberwarfare"), Normal/Ghost - High attack and speed

A regional variant of Gligar and Gliscor, being Poison and Flying instead of Ground and Flying.

Here's the next Pokemon, and it's the regional bird! It has a 3 stage line, and is based on a falcon.

Falcling
Normal/Flying
Big Pecks/Hyper Cutter

Falcry
Fighting/Flying
Big Pecks/Hyper Cutter

Falpierce
Fighting/Flying
Ruthless/Hyper Cutter

*Ruthless is a new ability that powers up multi-hitting moves.

Candlewick
ghost/fire
a branched evolution to litwick, still a candle, but more ghostly , creepy and not so cute

shinowhisp
ghost/fire
evolition to the candlewick, based on will o whisp. Looks like a shiny, humanoid and fairy-like candle.

stantlex
normal/psychic evolution to stantler

Dragolute
dragon/water
branched evolution do dragonair, still looks like a blue serpentine dragon

@TM23

Guys, guys, guys, please only one evolutionary family per post! Else what's to stop someone making the rest of the dex in one post?

@RileyXY1 - Your regional bird is accepted, your others must be in separate posts.
@Foxwarrior - Litwick line is accepted, your other must be in a separate post. Also can't help but feel Candlewick is a placeholder name, if so, tell if it needs changed!

-----

Adding Spearow, Fearow and Terrearow

Terrearow
Thunderbird - Terrearow's Electric attacks have +1 priority.
Electric/Flying
High ATK/SPEE/
Fearow evolves to Terrearow through exposure to a Cloud Stone. Terrearow is a lightning fast bird capable of transporting scores of people over long distances. Terrearow is black-feathered with plumage based on thunderclouds.

Adding a line of earthworm Pokemon.

Terrarva (terra + larva)
Ground/Bug
Swarm/Sand Rush/Arena Trap (HA)

Wormud (worm + mud)
Ground/Bug
Swarm/Sand Rush/Arena Trap (HA)

Here's my next Pokemon, based on the Minotaur of Greek mythology. Also, the Cottonee and Petilil lines are in the dex.

Eruptaur
Fire/Fighting
Burning Fist/Flame Body

*Burning Fist is a new ability that gives all of the user's Fighting type moves a chance to burn the target.

The Togepi line is another Pokemon that rarely shows up in regional dexes, and hasn't been in one since becoming Fairy.

Togepi- Fairy
Togetic- Fairy/Flying
Togekiss- Fairy/Flying

Sunkern

Sunflora
