Art from tonight's stream. Nailing down the colours on this was an absolute nightmare, everything looked good until I got to filling in his skin so I changed all the colours like half a bajillion times. I could've just stuck with his canon palette like a normal person but I did not feel like it.
Figuring out the shading was also kinda annoying because I really liked how the screentones over thee shading looked in some places (jacket, hair) and really didn't in others (face). Eventually I realized I could just get rid of it where it was bad and keep it where it was good.

More from the stream: I finished the Piers drawing earlier than expected so I spent the last hour of my scheduled block sketching whatever Pokemon the viewers asked of me.

Lighting practice. Foreshortening on this is terrible but I almost don't hate the closer hand and also lighting was the point and I feel like I did good at what I wanted to do.

Prepping refs because I actually intend to partake in artfight this year. Hunting down my previous pieces made me realize that I basically never draw Nicholi, which was in some ways helpful because I feel like it made me get a better handle on how I want the ref to look. Which is great, except it also kinda made me wanna go back in redo Taylor's. I'm not going to at current probably because I still wanna do Mira and probs some other characters but maybe if I get done with those in time.

Got a Mira reference similar to what I did for Nicholi plus refs for Ivy and Crystal that aren't quite as detailed but do get the general gist across.

Also my first attack of this years fight, a character named Stella. I loved drawing this character, she has such a fun and simple design. Full credit to the owner of the character, smooshypie, for the design.

Main piece from tonight's stream. Wanted to use the Eggexecutor for composition in a way that didn't quite work (I think to really achieve the effect I was shooting for I probably should've used a second Eggexuctor instead of a cloud) but I still like how it turned out.

As you may be able to tell, they were particularly set on making me draw every Pikachu adjacent Pokemon they could think of, even the one that's not officially official. (Also I had to do a couple of these with my glasses off.)

Haha, not exactly. Been artfighting and was just in the mood to draw something mahou so I tag searched; I don't know the owners of most of the characters I've been drawing well/at all.

Glad you enjoy the other pieces as well! Doing the doodle-y pieces at the end of my bulbagarden streams (Saturdays at 7 CDT if you're interested in popping by sometime!) is always fun and relaxing, nice to be able to just do a quick sketch without having to care if it ends up good.

Was in the mood to draw something sapphic and I like Aquaheartshipping and designing fun outfits so aquaheart wedding. Felt like they both ended up looking better in the first image where I was figuring out outfit designs but. I don't totally hate the second piece.

Content warning: ...something...?? Religious imagery, strangling, dismemberment but the character is a doll so no blood or gore.

Been watching Rozen Maiden, immediately latched onto Suigintou as my favorite character. Kinda hate this piece, not sure why exactly though. Maybe just cause drawing this type of thing isn't usually my forte. Blanc if you're reading this give me all of your secrets.

I can never hate anything that shows some Gold, Kris, and Silver love, haha. I especially like the more painterly approach that you took this time, with the hard visible brushstrokes and such, plus the softer colors! It all came together quite nicely here, I think.
