Don't miss next week's Weather Week event in Pokémon GO, starting next Thursday March 14th at 10:00am local time

Earlier this week, Niantic released full details for the upcoming Weather Week event, which will be taking place in Pokémon GO starting March 14th, at 10:00am and running through to March 18th, at 8:00pm local time. Shiny Castform will have an increased chance of appearing in the wild during this event.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active during the event period:

• Trainers can earn extra Stardust by catching Pokémon with Weather Boost
• Trainers will receive 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
• Trainers will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Castform

Additionally, PokéStop Showcases for event-themed Pokémon will be running throughout the event period at different PokéStops.

Collection Challenges and Field Research
Event-themed Collection Challenges, as well as event-themed Field Research, are available for free as part of the Weather Week event. Completing the Collection Challenges will award Trainers with Stardust and an Incense, while completing event-themed Field Research tasks will award encounters with a variety of different thematically appropriate Pokémon (see below for a list).
