It's my least favourite pseudo. And for the type combo, I much prefer Flygon.
However, it was integral in winning the Triple Battle trophy at the maison...

Long story short, Talonflame was infamous in Gen 6's metagame due to its ability Gale Wings, which basically made every single Flying type move it had a 1+ priority move, and ever since the nerf that made Gale Wings function only at full health and other factors such as Lele's Psychic Surge, it lost its OU status rather quickly.
