I turned 33 this year. One of the wildest experiences I had was when I was finding some of my old Scholastic Pokemon books in my dad's attic last year. Those books took a beating, I read them cover-to-cover every night almost.

It's kind of wild thinking about how I was one of the younger fans here when I first joined, since I was only 13 years old.

I was born in 1989, it's crazy how long this series has been around and to see the huge age ranges of the players. I feel old, but at the same time I don't.

i am 16. i was born in 2007. here is the story of me becoming obsessed with pokemon: i had seen them at friends' houses and thought they were a bit weird and didn't understand it. then i was ten in a hotel, our parents had gone somewhere for a few hours, and i had nothing to do but sit in a bathroom with my brother and sister and look over their shoulder. they where watching the first season of the pokemon anime on a phone. i became absolutely obsessed almost immediately.

Born in '95! August, to be more specific. I was about 6 months old when Pokemon first got released in Japan.

However I became a fan in October of 2003 when I was 8.

Right there with ya! I became a fan around the same time, and we were born around the same time too!

I was born in '97. I feel like I've always been aware of Pokémon. The problem is, I'm fuzzy on exact milestone dates such as when I began playing it. I now think I was aware of it by the age of 3. I remember joining BMGF when I was 13... I remember getting so many infractions and warnings as this was one of my first community based internet interactions. In hindsight, it helped my social development a lot considering how shut in I was forced to be at that time.
