Eugene Andrew "Gene" Cernan,, was an American naval officer and Naval Aviator, electrical engineer, aeronautical engineer, fighter pilot, and NASA astronaut. He traveled into space three times: as Pilot of Gemini 9A in June 1966, as Lunar Module Pilot of Apollo 10 in May 1969, and as Commander of Apollo 17 in December 1972, the final Apollo lunar landing.

William Peter Blatty was an American writer and filmmaker best known for his 1971 novel The Exorcist and for the Academy Award-winning screenplay of its film adaptation. I have just heard this on the radio, but Sir John Hurt has died aged 77. He played Kane in Alien and Spaceballs (killed both times when an alien escaped from his body), Winston Smith in the 1984 dystopian film Nineteen Eighty Four and the War Doctor in Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special The Day of the Doctor (John Hurt, Oscar-Nominated Star of 'The Elephant Man,' Dies at 77 (Report))

one of the first things that actually came in my head when I heard of john hurts death out of all of his work was merlin I thought he had such rich unique voice which you just had to listen to

J. Geils

John Warren "J." Geils Jr. was an American guitarist who was a member of the rock group the J. Geils Band. Geils was born on February 20, 1946, in New York City and grew up in Morris Plains, New Jersey. His father was an engineer at Bell Labs and a jazz fan. From an early age, he heard his father's albums by Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie, and was escorted by his father to a Louis Armstrong concert. He worked out Miles Davis music on trumpet and drums, and he listened to blues guitarists Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters on the radio.
