Well, I guess to explain briefly, it's done by Koji Igarashi, responsible for games like Symphony of the Night and Aria of Sorrow from the Castlevania series (which helps a lot considering Konami kinda said "screw the video game industry" and they screwed over Castlevania itself with Lords of Shadow). Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a Metroidvania style game which got funded on Kickstarter and is actually pretty good considering how Mighty No. 9 went. The demo was sent out to backers and a couple of others recently which contains the same content as the E3 2016 demo.
