Art Gallery Rules and Guidelines
Welcome to the Art Gallery! Here you can post your creative works, like drawings (both traditional and digital), graphics (sprites, signature banners, image manipulations, etc.), and multimedia creations (songs, music videos, Let’s Plays, etc).

If you want to offer your creative services to other users, you can do that in the Art Shops sub-forum. Be sure to read the Art Shops Rules before opening a shop there.

When posting content here, please stick to the following rules:

1. Only make one thread for your artwork
You can make a new post in this thread whenever you want to display new artwork. If you do two very different things (like drawing and making videos), you can make a separate thread for each.

2. You can double post once a day
If you have new work to show, but no one’s replied to your thread yet, you’re allowed to double post, but please keep it to once a day.

3. Put large images within spoiler tags
You can do this as followed:
Select the image > select the + button in the editing menu > select Spoiler > insert the title for your work > select Continue.

4. Don't use misleading spoiler tags or links
Be honest about what people can find in a spoiler tag or link, especially if the content contains shocking/gory/etc. material.

5. No Adult Content (Porn/Hentai)
Posting of adult content (i.e. depiction sexual acts and/or private parts) is not allowed under any circumstances.

6. Don’t bash other people’s art
Do not post saying how someone's art is horrible or badly made without offering some constructive criticism. And even then, try to refrain from sounding like a jerk in your posts. Give nice, well mannered criticism so that the artist may work to improve.

7. Don’t steal other people’s art (plagiarism)
Taking other people’s art and saying that it is your own is strictly not allowed. If you are known to have taken someone’s artwork without their permission, the topic in which the offending artwork is found will be edited and locked, and you will receive a warning. This includes tracing/editing someone else’s art.

If you suspect someone if stealing other people’s art, please PM one of the Moderators about it.

8. Only make a thread for your own art
Even if you aren’t claiming it’s yours, this is not the place to promote other people’s art, just your own. However, you are allowed to post other people’s works in threads that are meant for that, like the Tutorials, Resources, and Tips thread. In that case, always give full credit to the artist, and link to their webpage/DeviantArt/Tumblr/etc.

9. Don’t hijack someone else’s thread

Do you have your own art to share? That’s great! But please don’t post in someone else’s thread just to promote your own work, that’s just rude.

10. Inactive art threads are moved to The Gallery Archive
This goes for art threads that have been inactive for more than a year. If you want to continue using your art thread, just ask a Moderator to unarchive the thread for you.

If you actually read all of this, good job! And remember, whenever in doubt, ask a Moderator: Soki or Rainbow Cloud
