Art Shops Rules and Guidelines
Welcome to the Art Shops sub-forum! This is where you can open up a 'shop' and offer your talents to other users in the form of art, banners, avatars, sprites, or whatever it is that you specialize in!

When you open a shop, please stick to the following rules:

1. You can make multiple shops for different kinds of artwork
If you make banners, but also sprites, you’re welcome to open a separate shop for both.

2. You can double post for updates
You can double post if you’ve finished someone’s request or if there’s an update regarding your shop. However, please don’t double post just to bump your thread. If you want more people to know about your shop, consider putting a link in your signature or make a blog post about it!

3. Be sure to stick to the signature limits
When making art or banners for signatures, make sure the total size does not exceed 600 pixels wide, 160 tall, and 500 kB.

4. Respect the owners’ rules
Every shop often has its own rules set up by the user running it, usually posted in the first post of the thread. Please take your time to read through them before posting a request. There may be something the owner of the shop wants you to know, usually concerning whether they can actually finish your request or not. Remember, all shops are different!

5. Don’t hijack someone else’s thread
Got your own services to share? That’s great! But please don’t post in someone else’s thread just to promote your own services, even if you offer services that they don’t, that’s just rude.

6. Try to stay active in your shop
If you open up a shop, we expect you to be serious about it and regurlarly fulfill users' requests. If you're going to be absent for a while, please state so in your shop.

If you haven't responded to requests for more than a month (without stating your absence in your shop), a Moderator will contact your about your absence. If you don't reply after a week, your shop will be closed. If you want to reopen the shop, just PM a Moderator with the request to reopen it.

Likewise, if your shop is still open but you're not interested in running it anymore, please PM a Moderator with the request to close it.

7. Closed Art Shops are moved to The Gallery Archive

This goes for shops that have been closed for more than two months. If you want to reopen your shop, just ask a Moderator to unarchive and reopen the shop for you.

That's about it, enjoy running your shop!

And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask one of the Moderators: Soki or Rainbow Cloud
