New Pokémon, Z-Moves, Alolan forms revealed: New forms for Kanto Pokémon

A new trailer for Pokémon Sun and Moon has revealed an incredible amount of new information.

Anyone wanna take a stab at predicting some more Alola forms? The fire type trial leader apparently has a Marowak, so I'm calling Fire/Ghost Marowak now.

@SnorlaxMonster the official site refers to these Pokemon as "Regional variants", not "Alolan Forms" as reported:

These Pokémon are called regional variants. Taking root in the Alola region, they live like native Pokémon. Regional variant Pokémon can have different appearances and types, and their ways of living can also differ from that of the forms previously known.

They have the names "Alolan _______" because it indicates which region it is from, but Alolan Form isn't the term they appear to be using.

Hmm I notice that the art work for Poke Ride features a new device that it appears you plug a new kind of Pokeball into. Possibly the device works as a portable PC for Ride Pokemons? Question then is why couldn't you use this technology with your main team?

Looks like Arceus was in a creative mood!

They are referred to as "Alola Forms" as a whole (see the title and contents of the English trailer, for example). Individual Pokemon are referred to as "Alolan <Pokemon>". Alola Forms appear to be a type of "regional variant", which is a term the official site uses.

The article title should say "Alola Forms" rather than "Alolan forms", but I'm not sure if I will rename it because this can cause issues (it's only a minor misuse of terminology that doesn't affect understanding).
