Pokémon Masters EX launches celebrations for run-up to 4 year anniversary - Field Role Victor & Spectrier debut in special Sync Pair Event

A range of scouts, events and bonuses are launching today in Pokémon Masters EX to celebrate the run-up to the game's 4 year anniversary. Together with the previously announced debut of Victor & Spectrier, the game's first Field Role Sync Pair, and the conclusion to the Paulo Chapter of the Villain Arc, players can also take advantage of a returning Master Fair Scout for Kris & Suicune, and re-runs of the Rocket Execs Assemble Villain Event, and the Trio of Justice Extreme Battle. Returning players who've not logged in for 30 days or more will also be able to take advantage of a special Welcome Back Rally, including a selection of log-in bonuses and missions.

For the next month, until September 14th at 10:59pm (PDT), the in-game Pokémon Center will be getting a special makeover to celebrate the 4 year anniversary, including updates to the background music. More information on additional upcoming anniversary events is expected to be released in the regular letter from the game's producers later this month.

Special Sync Pair Event: Victor & Spectrier
This Special Sync Pair Event allows players to team-up with an exclusive Sync Pair, Victor & Spectrier, who are making their Pokémon Masters EX debut as part of this event. This event is live in-game now, and will remain available until September 29th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Victor & Spectrier can be acquired simply by completing the first Story area of the event. By completing stages in the event, players will be rewarded with Event Voucher C items, which can be exchanged for additional copies of the sync pair to improve their sync moves and move level, Custom Sync Orbs for Victor & Spectrier, and other items.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• When the exchange period for the vouchers obtained in this event ends, leftover Event Voucher C items will be converted into coins (10 coins per voucher) and sent to each player's Present Box.

Pokémon Masters EX's first Field Sync Pair
Victor & Spectrier are a 5★ Ghost-type Sync Pair with an expanded Sync Grid, the potential to be raised to 6★ EX. This Sync Pair is the first to be released with the new Field Role. Sync Pairs with this role, as the name implies, focus on applying Field effects, with these effects lasting longer than they would when applied by non-Field sync pairs. Victor & Spectrier's Passive Skill Debut: Ghost Zone turns the field of play’s zone into a Ghost Zone when the pair enter battle. After they are raised to 6★ EX, their Sync Move Night Dash Ghost Beam will also reapply this field before the first time they use the Sync Move in a particular battle, extending the field effect duration if already in play.

Move Candy Coins and Move Candy specific to this role have been added to the game along with Victor & Spectrier. Field Drills are also also now available in the Training Area, awarding items to unlock level caps and strengthen Sync Pairs with this role.

New Villarc Arc content
The Main Story Villain Arc is winding up to a final conclusion, with the finale of the Main Story Villain Arc: Paulo Chapter now available in game. This is a permanent addition to the game's story.

Mission Bingo
A new mission bingo has also been added in the lead-up to the Villain arc's end, featuring 9 separate Explore tasks, each of which requires players to complete a Chapter of the Villain Arc. Completing the mission for each Chapter will award 30 region-appropriate 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets, with the Paulo Chapter instead awarding 1,000 gems. Completing all tasks will also reward players with an additional 200 gems, Strike and Tech Move Candy Coins, and several other useful items including Skip Tickets and Skill Spheres. This Mission Bingo will remain available until September 30th, at 1059pm (PDT).

#VillainArcMemories Sweepstakes
Pokémon Masters EX is currently holding a special contest via its official Twitter accounts. This sweepstakes offers players the chance to receive a framed Pokémon Masters EX print. A total of 63 prints are up for grabs, with 18 prints being awarded to residents of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) who enter via the English language account, and a futher 45 prints on offer for residents of Japan entering via the Japanese account. There are nine different designs of prints, one for each of the nine chapters of the Villain Arc, with winners each receiving a random print.

To enter, fans will need to follow the appropriate Pokémon Masters EX Twitter account for their region (@PokemonMasters or @pokemas_game), and then tweet their memories of the game's Villain Arc using the appropriate hashtag for their region (#VillainArcMemories or ##ポケマス悪の組織編の思い出) . All entries must be in before August 27th, at 8:00am (PDT) / 23:59pm (JST)

Galar Villain Social Rally Part 2
The Galar Villain Social Rally Part 2 has now concluded. While players didn't actually reach the target of 20,000 RTs total between the official English and Japanese Twitter accounts for Pokémon Masters EX, the developers decided earlier this month to send everyone the rewards anyway!. As a result, players have secured for themselves 30x 5★ Galar Scout Tickets, 25x 5★ Power-Up Tickets, and 50x Champion Spirit. These rewards will be available to claim until September 15th 30th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Villain Event: Rocket Execs Assemble
Featuring battles against the Team Rocket executives, this villain event originally ran in May through June 2022 as a component of the first part of the Johto chapter of the Villain Arc. Players will receive Event Voucher D for completing battles in this event, which can be redeemed in the Exchange Items menu for a variety of items including 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets, 5★-Guaranteed Johto Scout Tickets, and Custom Silver & Ho-oh Legendary Spirit that can be used to boost Silver & Ho-oh to 6★ EX. Once raised to 6★ EX, Silver's outfit is changed to a white shirt with orange-red pants to match Ho-oh. Players will be able to obtain all of these rewards even if they have previously completed the Villain Event during its previous runs.

Unlike the regular Story Events, this Villain Event does not include any lineup bonuses to increase battle rewards. There are however special bonuses for Johto Sync Pairs, who will have increased Attack, Defence, Special Attack and Special Defence when used in missions for this event, giving them an easier time in completing stages.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00 p.m. (PDT)
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• When the exchange period for the vouchers obtained in this event ends, leftover Event Voucher D items will be converted into coins (10 coins per voucher) and sent to each player's Present Box.

Extreme Battle Event: Trio of Justice
Players will face off against Ethan, Kris, and Lyra in this latest Extreme Battle. Sync Pairs from Johto in player's teams will receive boosts to their Attack, Special Attack, Defence, and Special Defence, with this strength bonus increasing with difficulty level.

The Take On Ethan! Part 1 and Take On Ethan! Part 2 areas are available in-game starting today. Take On Kris! Part 1 and Take On Kris! Part 2 will be added to the game from August 17th, at 11:00pm (PDT), while Take On Lyra! Part 1 and Take On Lyra! Part 2 will be added to the game from August 19th, at 11:00pm (PDT)

Players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier to participate in this event. This event will run until August 27th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Celebrate the run-up to the anniversary with a mass of Scouts
Three Master Sync Pairs, Sygna Suit Kris, Sygna Suit Lyra, and Sygna Suit Ethan will be returning to Pokémon Masters EX over the coming week in special Master Fair Scouts. Players will also have the opportunity to scout a large quantity of Sync Pairs through 10-Pair Scout Tickets that are being distributed for this anniversary celebration.

Sygna Suit Kris Master Fair Scout
5★ Sygna Suit Kris & Suicine are returning in a special Master Fair Scout alongside today's new and returning events. This Sync Pair was first released in a Master Fair scout which ran between June and July 2022. As usual for Master Fair scouts, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 12% chance of appearing, with the featured pair having a higher chance of appearing than other pairs.

The Sygna Suit Kris Master Fair Scout includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for x100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout. The first five times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this scout, they will also receive the following bonus presents:

• 1st Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1
• 2nd Scout: 5★ Power-Up x2
• 3rd Scout: Strike Move Candy Coin x1, Tech Move Candy Coin x1

10-Pair Scout
Until September 14th at 10:59pm (PDT), players will receive up to 10 special 10-Pair Scout Tickets as log-in bonuses, at a rate of one ticket per day. These tickets can be used exclusively in a 10-Pair Scout, which will remain available in-game until September 21st at 10:59pm (PDT). This Ticket Scout includes all Sync Pairs within the general pool, including 5★ Sync Pairs.

Welcome Back Rally
Players who have not logged in for 30 days or more will be able to take advantage of a special Welcome Back Rally until September 12th, at 10:59pm (PDT). This rally is split up into two parts. Firstly, the rally includes a special set of 17 missions, which if completed award a variety of basic items for improving sync pairs, including Gym Leader Notes, Tome, Codex, and Drink sets, Co-op Sync Orbs, and Skill Spheres. Completing all missions in full will award players 1,000 gems.

Welcome Back Rally Log-in Bonus
This rally also includes a daily log-in bonus, granting players a large quantity of gems simply for logging-in. Players can receive these log-in bonuses up until September 12th at 10:59pm (PDT).
