Following our move to this new forums software and server setup, we had intended to implement a mandatory password reset. For a number of reasons, that hasn't happened. Primarily...
At this point in time, we are unlikely to implement a forced password reset on users. We do however still encourage users who have not reset their passwords since the move to XenForo to do so, and to make sure you adopt a good, strong password.
- An issue with @aol.com emails rejecting emails from @bulbagarden.net. This seems to be a consequence of the forums now being hosted from the Amazon Cloud. There is no quick fix for this, and forcing a password reset would lock these users out.
- Several users had reported issues with setting passwords, which took us a while to identify and fix. This issue was due to a system we had installed to encourage users to adopt stronger passwords. The system was erroneously rejecting passwords from users without giving sufficient direction on how to make their password stronger.
