Welcome to the Global Trade Station! Although we strive to provide a safe trading environment for everyone, our powers are limited to what is written on the forum. Use common sense when making trades. If you were scammed or encountered some other issue when trading, let us know by reporting the post or contacting a trade moderator.

Most users set guidelines within their trade thread, so we encourage everyone to take the time to read the specifics to maintain a friendly trading environment. Intentionally failing to agree with the trader's conditions (or being so negligent that you simply ignore them) is grounds for a warning or infraction, depending on the severity of the incident.

Our forum specific rules:

1. Follow the Forum Rules. Be sure to familiarize yourself with them.
If the last post in the thread is yours, Edit the post. You may only double post if you are updating your thread's inventory or bumping your thread (see below).

2. Keep your threads organized by following these guidelines.
-- Don't post multiple threads of the same request. You may maintain several threads if they serve different purposes (e.g. opening a giveaway thread, then opening another thread to get rid of breeding leftovers)
-- You may bump your thread after 3 days have passed and your thread has gone unnoticed. Shop owners may bump their threads every 24 hours.
-- Don't type the thread title in all capitals. We will rename your thread if necessary.

3. Do not hijack other members' trade threads.
This means you can't barge into a want thread and then arrange a trade with someone who sent an offer to the original poster there. If you want the same thing as someone else, you should start a thread of your own.

4. Illegal Hacking/Trading.
If you are caught cheating, stealing, or deceiving other traders, you will receive this infraction. Do not intentionally trade a hacked Pokemon without informing the recipient. If both members agree to trading hacks, then the trade is allowable.

Essentially, you should mention how you've obtained your Pokemon, whether it be through cloning, RNG abuse, or through external devices/programs.

5. Do not use actual monetary values nor merchandise when negotiating trades.
Keep trading within the Pokémon video games. Noncompliance can lead to your thread being closed, and depending on the severity of the incident, we will take further action.

6. Bulbagarden does not support the usage of illegal game copies in any way.
Any threads involving emulators, flash carts and other applications/devices allowing people to use ROMs will be closed and the user will be infracted for Copyright Violation.

About the section:
  • Posting threads specifically for friend codes will be closed. Instead, use the friend code exchange thread found in Video Games to expand your friend lists.

  • Trading codes for event only Pokemon is acceptable; however, keep in mind codes can be redeemed and passed off as unused. Users caught providing nonredeemable codes and scamming others will receive the illegal hacking/trading infraction.
The main section is for quick and simple trades, and or services. An example of a quick trade would be if you're looking for a few Pokémon, or trying to get rid of an extra event you picked up. Ideally if it's under 5 Pokémon/items then use the main forum.

— If you're seeking a Pokémon that cannot be legally obtained, use the Hacked Pokémon Services sticky. Our definition of "hacked" includes Pokémon created, edited or altered by applications and external devices, such as Pokésav and Action Replay. RNG abuse or cloning (regardless of method) are not considered hacking here. If you have a particular question on what's allowed or not, feel free to check with the Trade staff before trading the Pokémon.

Tradeback, Cloning and Various Services is a sticky dedicated to trade-related issues and service requests, including but not limited to:
- Trade and tradeback for evolution induced by trading
- Trade and tradeback for Pokédex data

— And finally, our Offers & Shops subforum hosts all our shops, giveaways, and longer lasting trade threads. You can find a more detailed explanation over in this thread as to what you can find there.

Thank you all for reading, and happy trading!
- GTS Staff
