The Terrible Twos Tourney.
It's back, with a Gen V kinda feel!!
This will be a level 100 2v2 singles battle tournament. It will be held over WIFI. There's only two pokemon you will need to train, don't be lazy. PO and Shoddy will NOT be options for these tourneys. Videos of matches WILL NOT be allowed. There's a lot of planning and strategy that goes into 2s and 3s teams. The only possible matches that would be up for viewing would be the Final and the match for 3rd place. This would be up to both battlers of said matches. Yes we would all like to see, no not everyone likes their strategies revealed.
No UBERS. Only ONE OU pokemon may be on the team. Your other team member can consist of a NU, RU, UU or BL pokemon. You do not have to have an OU team member if you do not wish to use one.
Single Elimination Bracket Style.
Upon each brackets announcement, competitors will have 72 hours to complete the match or auto forfeits. STRICTLY ENFORCED!! Each new round will take place a week after the prior round finishing. This should give people enough time to get away from the tournament, keeping most from burning out.
If we hit 24 participants, some will get a bye in the first round. It will be completely randomized. In order to keep this a quick tourney, it will not be changed to Double Elimination.
Prizes.
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. First place winner choosing their prize, second place picking the remainder, third with obviously what's left. Prizes will be listed in post #2. Prizes will be pokemon that will be useful for upcoming 2s and 3s tournaments. Depending on turn out, there may be prizes added for 4th place.
Clauses.
Sleep Clause: Only one Pokemon may be put to sleep at a time. This of course does not count if an opponent has used Rest on their second pokemon.It's back, with a Gen V kinda feel!!

Evasion Clause: A Pokemon may not use Double Team or Minimize.
Accuracy Clause: A Pokemon may not use Flash, Kinesis, Sand-Attack, or SmokeScreen.
Hax Items Clause: BrightPowder, Focus Band, Quick Claw, Lax Incense, King's Rock, Razor Fang, Scope Lens, and Razor Claw cannot be held by your Pokemon.
OHKO Clause: A Pokemon may not use Horn Drill, Sheer Cold, Guillotine, or Fissure.
Self-KO Clause: Only if it's the last pokemon on both teams.
Item Clause: Only one of each item may be on a pokemon. No two Focus Sashs, no two Leftovers.
F.E.A.R. Clause: The F.E.A.R. strategy is banned for this tourney.
Drizzle + Swift Swim Clause: A team cannot use the abilities Drizzle and Swift Swim together.
Moody: A team cannot use a pokemon with the Moody ability.
Speed Boost Blaziken: A team cannot use Blaziken with the Speed Boost ability.
*NOTE Focus Sash is not banned.*
Tournament Dates.
Round One's bracket will be announced Friday, August 19, 2011. That means all matches must be completed by Monday night, August 22, 2011.
Round Two's bracket will be up the next Friday, August 26, 2011.
Competitors have 72 hours to complete their matches.
