Pokémon: Path to the Peak takes a new direction for Pokémon animated series, connecting explicitly to the Pokémon Trading Card game rather than to the main series Pokémon video games.
The series follows Ava on her journey as she becomes immersed in competitive play with the Pokémon Trading. While the series blurb mentions Ava's partner Pokémon being Oddish, it's not clear from the initial trailer if this is simply her favourite card and everything in the series happens in a world much closer to our own, or if, as implied by some of the official blurbs, that this series does happen in a world where real Pokémon also exist.
A special screening of the first episode of this series will be held at the 2023 Pokémon World Championships, taking place at the PACIFICO Yokohama, while international fans will be able to catch the premiere of the first episode on the official Pokémon YouTube channel on August 11th.The Pokémon Company International said:Pokémon: Path to the Peak tells the story of Ava, who strives to enter the world of competitive Pokémon Trading Card Game play. She works alongside her family, friends, and partner Pokémon, Oddish, to rise to the very top!
Pokémon: Paldean Winds is a new animated series set in the Paldea region. The new four-episode series is slated to premiere on September 6th, exclusively on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
The series is being produced by The Pokémon Company International in collaboration with WIT STUDIO, who previously worked on Pokémon: Hisuian Snow, and 2018's Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us. Wit Studio is best known for producing the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, Ranking of Kings, and Spy × Family.
The Pokémon Company International said:This limited original series follows three academy students—Ohara, Aliquis, and Hohma—on their journey of growth and learning while attending school.
