The inspiration for this battle.
"You had this coming, you jerk! Now put 'em up!"
That night, the heat of anger could be felt throughout the prison where the Destructix were contained.
"Which shall it be, wretch?..." Mammoth Mogul, their leader, threatened (although unable to do anything). "The great hero defeated by a pup, or the hero who beats up children?"
Sonic was furious. After all, Tails wasn't exactly serving the Kingdom of Acorn at this exact moment. "You're not helping! Fine!"
He rushed over to Tails. "You want a pounding? You'll get a pounding!"
In the latest issue of Up vs. Down, the Hero of Mobius - Sonic the Hedgehog - and the Chosen One - Miles "Tails" Prower - throw down in an intense fight! Sonic wants to protect King Elias's dynasty, while Tails and his family seek a kingdom of the people. There may even be some hidden motives... But all that aside, there are some rules to go over. Choose your side (Sonic or Tails) and prepare to get counting!
- All standard BMGF rules apply.
- The game starts at 250.
- The Blue Speedsters may only count up to 500.
- The Twin-Tailed Foxes may only count down to 0.
- You may choose to side with either team, but you can't change sides once you've chosen.
- No ping-ponging. You cannot post again until at least two people have posted since your last post.

As much as Sonic and Tails didn't want to fight, it had to happen, just as King Elias and Amadeus Prower were about to fight.
"I cannot just dissolve the kingdom and hand it to the angry masses," Elias said to Amadeus. "That makes no sense."
"You would risk civil war to preserve a faulty monarchy?" Amadeus asked.
"I would preserve order over submitting to your anarchy!" Elias shouted back.
"Then it has come to this..." Amadeus said, drawing his sword. "For my people, I will see you dethroned!"
"For my people, I will see you defeated!" Elias declared, raising his twin blades to Amadeus's sword.
And so the battles began...
