What was your first Pokémon?

Torchic, Sapphire, 7th birthday... Lonely nature, eventually transferred to cousin's Pearl, not sure what happened afterwards. I still have some descendants from breeding him with Ditto in Emerald, although eventually I got better Blazikens with HA and good IVs in Sun...

Piplup in Pearl when I was 8. I think it was in April when I started playing that one? Don't know what I nicknamed him but probably something dumb (cause I was 8). If we don't count second-hand games though (cause my copy of Pearl used to be my cousin's), it was Fennekin in Y about a month afterwards.

That reminds me, when I was around 7-8 I played a Pokemon game on Roblox where I chose Tepig as my starter and it was my favourite starter for ages and when I actually got White 2 I picked Oshawott immediately and I don't think I've ever picked Tepig in a real playthrough.

(As an aside, if old threads are going to keep getting revived, is it possible for their polls to be updated by a mod? This one has about half of all possible first Pokemon, so it's not really representative of the entire community's experiences.)

I also started off with Chimchar in Diamond because I thought fire was the coolest type - to this day I still always end up picking the fire starter so some things never change.

It is likely that I had other Pokemon earlier when I was super young messing around with earlier titles but I didn't know what I was doing and I can't remember too well.

Chikorita in HeartGold! While the Cynadquil line is my favorite, I still like the Chikorita line. Meganium is freaking great.

MFW no “Other” option on the poll. Oh well, no biggie. My first Pokemon was Fennekin in Y, followed really quickly by the event Torchic with the Blazikenite. I ended up trading both away because I didn’t know better.

I don't remember exactly, but it was most probably charmander. That was my favorite as a child and i had used him all the time when i played on the emulator.
