The problem with sonic is that SEGA keep thinking of new ways to innovate the franchise with gimmicks, when all we want is a normal 2D style sidescroller, like sonic unleashed without the werecrap.

Then you missed a lot of pointless drama. As for a re-dub, I'd say the odds are 50/50. On one side of the coin, Funimation are good at dubbing completed series in a short amount of time, But with the 'remastered' boxset, I doubt we will see anything short of a blu-ray release in the far future.
