I remember being very sad an affected and something in blue (the only one I've played). I'd have to look up the wiki page to remember exactly what it was.
My first ever pokemon, a Typhlosion (that obviously started as a Cyndaquil). Not terribly surprising, I was a kid back then and largely indulged in the train one pokemon and one pokemon alone strategy. Hell I don't even remember the other members of my team. Which incidentally makes me very sad...
I only recently decided that I liked the Fearow line, and I can't claim to have tried it out (when I decided I wanted an alternate early game flyer I picket the Zubat line) but its something I'd like to try. It certainly looks suitably impressive and intimidating.
Swampert is amongst my favourite Pokemon overall, so this is an easy choice for me. Mudkip itself is pretty good too in my book. But I agree that they're all good. Definitely one of the stronger starter sets, if not the best.
Gen 3 I got my Dad to take me to an event at a shopping mall, where they were giving out the top ten voted for Pokemon. It was near Christmas so he used it as an excuse to go gift shopping and I got a few legendaries.
I was always dubious about the validity of that top 10 poll though. I guess...
Rocket probably wins in my view. If only because I find them a more appreciable threat, they're simple and their motives are understandable (not to be confused with forgivable). I haven't played BW so I can't comment on Plasma, though they seem like a good concept. The remaining three just seem...
I tend to lean towards the more intimidating varieties, but I wouldn't say it defines my choice. Its nice to have a more uniform aesthetic but there are so many other reasons to pick different Pokemon; moves, type, compatibility, etc... that their appearance often fades into relative...
My first ever Pokemon. A Typhlosion in Silver. I spent ages as a child constantly re-battling the Elite 4 to get it to level 100. By the end he could actually do it single handedly and I remember my tiny kid mind being really proud at our achievement. Then the internal battery on the cartridge...
I don't hide it persay, I just don't bring it up. Some of my closer friends know and a most of the others I'm pretty sure have latched on but equally don't mention it. As its not a mutual conversation topic I see little reason to irritate them with it. I hide it from certain people, namely those...
Re: Pokemon Nicknames! What have you named your team and what meanings do the names h
I used to name them something that pertained to what they were on the basis I could rarely think of anything better.
So for instance if I randomly caught a grimer it would become Sludge.
I gave up after a...
Re: PokéDads! Anyone got any?
I see your point but then the reference to Arceus being a god doesn't work as well IMO. But thanks for the feedback.
Oh and thanks to everyone who thought it was funny as well.
EDIT: I suppose I could use Dialga, Mesprit, etc... but that still detracts...
Re: PokéDads! Anyone got any?
Heres the one I mentioned earlier. I found a time slot to make it. Its not great so don't get your hopes up. Oh and it was made in paint so the quality's not fantastic either...You can tell I'm a bit of a pessimist can't you?
Quick note before you open it there...
Its not actually a good cry but Pikachu from Yellow certainly qualifies as the most annoying. Battle after battle after battle and all you ever hear is PIKA!, PIKA!, PIKA! Seriously Pikachu SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY!!!
Re: FAVORITE FLYING TYPES!
Difficult as the fact that its effectively the secondary type means there's a lot of variety. Salamence wins for me followed by Scyther and Crobat.
