Alolan Marowak is pretty neat. The Ghost typing really plays a nice reference to the Ghost of the pokemon tower. As part Fire, it can now counter it's Grass and Ice weaknesses that a regular one usually has.

Poison/Dark is the best type combo that they gave to Alola Grimer and Alola Muk.

I probably just assume that all Alola forms are gen 1 since that is all we getting. The only ones that I know for sure that won't have Alola forms is starters, fossils, Dragonite line and legendaries. Could be wrong though.

I too would have like to see Psyduck line get Water/Psychic. I mean it can learn psychic moves so it confused me on why it never got Psychic type in the first place. Further more an Alola Noctowl that is Psychic/Flying would ideal in my opinion.

I like Alola Raticate. Can get stab for Dark moves and the design is good. Unfortunately we got no Alola form that is not gen 1.

No, Alola forms are not like AZ's Floette so they will evolve. Alola forms are far different from Spiky-Eared Pichu and Cosplay Pikachu. They are an Alola version of the original pokemon but they will still evolve.

There is no reason to do so. They should all evolve normally. AZ's Floette is different.

My prediction: gen 1 pokemon would be the only ones to get an Alola form while the other gens get left out. Nice job Game Freak, lol!

Technically, the ghost at Lavender town is a normal Ground type Marowak but the fact they reference it by giving Alola Marowak a Ghost typing is neat.
