The overwhelming reaction here in the US on sites posting about the movie is negativity about no Misty/Brock.

The notion that the original timeline is gone from some of you completely contradicts the fact that they're hyping the original Ash hat and original story in Pokémon go and SM. The movie hat being different is to signal this was not a replacement of the original timeline.
