I saw this on tumblr, it's an interesting read.

It's a Zoologist talking about Alola forms and the ecology of islands. (like Hawaii) They also talk about Oricorio.
To be honest I prefer Raichus original design. (Though I'll admit the surfing on it's tail is a neat idea)
I haven't really weighed in much on the Alola forms so far, my favourites are probably Alolan Exeggcutor and Meowth. Ninetails has a pretty cool attacking animation too.
I don't know if...
You know, how many older Pokemon have we seen in trailers that we haven't also seen their evolved form?
I can only think of one off the top of my head. From the recent trailer we saw a Nosepass.
What do we think about Nosepass evolving into a Rock/Grass Probopass? I think the idea of it...
Wasn't Arcanine shown off fighting Rockruff in a clip during some Korean event? In that footage Arcanine looked no different and yet the leak is saying it'll be a water type.
Either that leak contains some fake misleading information (totally possible) or the older Pokemon shown off in trailers...
I'll be more on board if we get Alola variations for Pokemon from other generations too.
As it stands I like the idea but I don't like the idea of it being exclusive to just one generation.
This would be a great opportunity to have a Grass/Fire Sunflora.
I'm going to be pretty disappointed if it's just Kanto Pokemon. I hope we'll see more variety.
What we've seen so far does look pretty cool though. Exeggutor is hilarious.
