Illogic woundn't be a thing if logic didn't exist first, and the former can only be defined in relation to the latter. Logic can't be a subcategory of illogic any more than heat can be a subcategory of coldness

    The Situation Room 3.0

You are using circular reasoning in an attempt to demonstrate that logic is illogical, thus being illogical yourself
  3. Isaac the Investigator

    The Situation Room 3.0

If logic was illogical, it wouldn't be called logic

No, I tested it out on the poll for the Weird Al game, it worked fine, and the votes were still there after the test.

You can just remove the deadline and set a new one. Yet again, this is not a problem
  6. Isaac the Investigator

    The Situation Room 3.0

You can set polls to close after a certain time, so even this isn't a problem.

Even so, the poll system makes posting votals much easier if that's what the host wants to do.

Typically on TS, there isn't a no vote option on the polls. Typically though, I tend to find that not having my vote on someone is a waste of my vote. I'd be willing to include it if you like though.

I'm not trying to offend you, I'm just trying to make you understand where I am coming from. Anyway, with the game I am hosting, you now have a perfect opportunity to try out this system so we should stop arguing

It surprises me how little you know about your own software. Just look at the poll in this thread. Click on the options, and guess what, you can see who voted for what.

    The Situation Room 3.0

It is rather arrogant to assume that you know how good a system is when you've never tried it

    The Situation Room 3.0

No, I have clearly shown that your "concerns" are derived from a complete misunderstanding of what a poll system even entails, and despite me constantly providing evidence your fears are unfounded you just repeat the same things as if I failed to address them. This would be solved if you had...

    The Situation Room 3.0

I'm honestly tired of arguing with you at this point, so I'll just leave you with this. There is a huge difference between your arguments and mine. My arguments are based on experience. I've actually played many games with that system. Yours are based on pure conjecture. You've never played a...

    The Situation Room 3.0

It wouldn't require MoD information if you made it so that regular users could change polls in threads they created. Which, as I don't see any reason why they should not be able to do this anyway, is not unreasonable. Requires less energy for the host, makes updates significantly easier, makes...

    The Situation Room 3.0

I do too, and there is nothing here that prevents them from working like they do in The Syndicate, where the system works perfectly fine, besides regular users not being able to change polls, however mods can do this, so it'd be easy to fix.

    The Situation Room 3.0

My problem is that you are very ignorant about how that system actually works, and if you played you would at least understand how it works. I hate being lectured by people who tell me my actual experience playing mafia is invalid despite them having never actually played a game with that...
  17. Isaac the Investigator

    The Situation Room 3.0

There is an option to set polls so that you can see who voted for what, I thought a mod of this site would know that
  18. Isaac the Investigator

    The Situation Room 3.0

Look. People pay attention to the thread. If the notice a vote that looks off or isn't elaborated, they'll call out the person who made the vote. And in most games, this isn't even a problem as people almost always explain their votes, or at least post who they're voting for, anyway.
  19. Isaac the Investigator

    The Situation Room 3.0

In practice, that is not an actual problem. If someone votes like that and doesn't post an explanation, they'd almost certainly be either called out in thread or asked to explain their vote, making their voting patterns clear. Most people explain their votes anyway. Seriously, most of these...

    The Situation Room 3.0

You are clearly ignoring the voting system on The Syndicate, which works perfectly fine. If someone votes stealthily, then you can just call them out for such. Voting patterns can still be tracked by putting the results in the update post. And I don't see how there's much time and energy that's...
