I like to do the Pokemon Contests in Emerald and I can't decide who to use in the the cute Contest and who to use in the Smart Contest , what Natures they need for that and what attacks they need to use.

Castform for smart. It wins pretty easiliy with it's appeal combos and Sunny day can help make a come-back if you aren't placed first.

Whiscash with mud sport and water sport combo dominates cute contests

thanks

For the cute contest, it's better to have timid, hasty, jolly or naive Pokemon. It's bad to have brave, relaxed, quiet or sassy ones.

For the smart contest, calm, gentle, sassy and careful are better. Naughty, lax, naive and rash are bad.

I just find Claydol, King of Contests, makes 3G contests dead easy (against the computer - I've heard it's easily countered in link contests), provided you have a good block mix. I used five Claydol to win Master Ranks, and all five had the same move set (just differing natures and condition).

Claydol@Scarf
- Cosmic Power
- Secret Power
- AncientPower
- Explosion

Alternate between AncientPower and Cosmic Power for the first three turns, then Secret Power to rake in the points, then use Explosion.
