Niantic has released full details on the latest iteration of Pokémon GO's Rivals Week event, which will be taking place taking place early next month from May 4th. As with past Rivals Weeks, this event will feature Pokémon that are considered as rival counterparts to another Pokémon in Pokédex entries. Also commencing May 4th is the game's next GO Battle Weekend Event.
Niantic has announced that a Special Research story, Glitz and Glam, will be available to all Pokémon GO Trainers for free starting May 1st, at 10:00am local time. Trainers who complete this Special Research will earn an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Diancie.
Niantic has released full details on the Pokémon GO in-person event being held in Melbourne, Australia starting later this week in conjunction with the DreamHack Melbourne festival, which runs from April 26th to April 28th. Trainers will be able to take part in the in-person gameplay experience during the event around the Rod Laver & Margaret Court Arena at Melbourne & Olympic Parks.

During the Pokémon Presents video presentation for Pokémon Day, it was announced that an event focusing on Pokémon from the animation Pokémon Horizons: The Series will be coming to Pokémon GO. Niantic has released details on the upcoming Taken Treasures event in Pokémon GO, which will take place from January 27th at 12:00am to February 1st at 11:59pm local time. This latest Team GO Rocket Takeover Event will include the Pokémon GO debut of Varoom and its evolution, Revavroom.
Niantic has announced a special ticketed collaboration event for the launch of Pokémon Air Adventures for Indonesia, exclusively for Indonesian Pokémon GO players. The Pikachu's Indonesia Journey in Bali event will run on March 2nd and 3rd, from 10:00am to 6:00pm local time. Tickets are available to purchase now for 150,000 IDR. Trainers may only purchase a ticket for one day of the two-day event.
The Rage Monkey Pokémon Annihilape will be making make its Pokémon GO debut next week as part of the Raging Battles event, which will run alongside the GO Battle Week that was previously announced all the way back in November 2023. Both events will run from January 19th at 10:00am local time, through to January 24th at 11:59pm local time.
Niantic this week has released more details regarding the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh Live Event in Los Angeles on February 17th and 18th, and the Pokémon GO Tour: Sinnoh – Global event which will follow held on February 24th and 25th. These events will see the Pokémon GO debuts of both Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia, who can each be found in special space-time anomalies that will appear during these events.
Niantic have announced details for the upcoming Dazzling Dream event in Pokémon GO, which was first revealed in a post on the official Pokémon GO account on X late last month. The event, which will run from January 13th at 10:00am to January 16th at 8:00pm local time will feature the Pokémon GO debut of Shiny Cutiefly, together with encounters with a whole host of different Fairy-type Pokémon.
