After being teased earlier this month, The Pokémon Company International has officially announced today the next expansion in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Sword & Shield—Brilliant Stars, which will be released worldwide on February 25, 2022. More details on the new Pokémon VSTAR mechanic were also unveiled, along with 9 new cards.

The official Japanese Pokémon Café ReMix Twitter account has announced that Main Orders 301 to 350 will be added to the Pokémon Visiting Mode in Pokémon Café Remix tomorrow at 3 p.m. JST. Gothita will be appearing in the game for the first time alongside this update, and Torterra will also be returning to the Café.

In celebration of Diwali, the five day long festival originating in the Indian subcontinent, Niantic have announced a Festival of Lights event will be in Pokémon GO from November 5, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to November 14, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Dedenne, the Electric- and Fairy-type Antenna Pokémon originally found in the Kalos region, will be making its Pokémon GO debut during this event.

At the end of the Pokémon Global Exhibition Day 2 livestream, a limited-time distribution for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield was announced. By redeeming the code 「GL0BALCHAMP2021」 , players can receive a Charizard based on that used by Leonardo Bonanomi to win the Pokémon Global Exhibition.

The previously announced distribution at Pokémon Center stores in Japan, has also been confirmed for the Pokémon Center in Singapore. Players visiting Pokémon Center Singapore during the month of their birthday will receive a code card, which will then give Happiny when redeemed in-game in either Pokémon Sword, Pokémon Shield, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, or Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Five more cards have been revealed by The Pokémon Company International for the Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield—Fusion Strike expansion that will be released on November 12, 2021.

From November 1, 2021, players of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield can receive a different Sweet item in-game every day at Pokémon Center stores in Japan.

Halloween-themed Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in Max Raid Battles in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield through October 31, 2021, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. These Pokémon include Sableye, Dusknoir, Zoroark, Corviknight, and Thievul. Very rarely, a Shiny Zoroark may also be encountered.

The 23th Pokémon animated film, Secrets of the Jungle, will premiere in cinemas in Taiwan on 10 December 2021 as 《寶可夢：皮卡丘與可可的冒險》(Pokémon: Pikachu and Koko's Adventure).

The Gym Challenge online competition will be running in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield between November 11, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. PST and November 14, 2021, at 3:59 p.m. PST. Registration for the competition is open right now, and will remain open until November 10, 2021, at 3:59 p.m. PST.

Pokémon Café Mix has now officially relaunched as Pokémon Café ReMix. Together with the update, players can now receive the Eevee Chef Costume as a log-in bonus.

The Pokémon Company International have released more information on the Hisuian Form of Zorua and Zoroark, including a new short trailer showcasing the two new forms. Both Pokémon will be appearing in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which launches on January 28, 2022 worldwide.

A new trailer for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl was released earlier today by The Pokémon Company International, showcasing a selection of returning characters, Legendary Pokémon, and an additional early purchase Mystery Gift event. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will be released worldwide next month on November 19, 2021.

The official Pokémon Café ReMix Japanese Twitter account has announced that Charizard will be debuting as a Special Customer from October 29, 2021. This event allows you to befriend Charizard to recruit it as a Staff Pokémon for your Café.

Niantic has announced that an event will be held in Pokémon GO for Día de Muertos, a holiday observed in Mexico and other parts of the Americas that celebrates the lives and the memory of friends and family who have moved on to another world. The event will be held from Monday, November 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Niantic has released details on a range of upcoming activities and events in Pokémon GO during the month of November.

Earlier, Niantic indicated that the featured Pokémon for November's Community Day event would be an Electric-type Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. They have now confirmed the featured Pokémon will be the Flash Pokémon Shinx.

Niantic has uploaded the first Developer Diaries episode on their official YouTube channel, in which they discusses the planning that goes into each Pokémon GO Community Day. The video also announces dates for the Pokémon GO Community Days that will be held in November and December 2021. The November Community Day will take place on November 21, 2021. It will feature an Electric-type Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. The December Community Day will take place over December 18 and 19, 2021. Following on from December Community Days in past years, all featured Pokémon from each month's Community Day in 2021 will be appearing, along with their Community Day-exclusive Moves when they evolve. Niantic have also announced that beginning with the next season of Pokémon GO, the dates of all 3 Community Days in each season will be announced in their Season series of events news.

The mysterious found footage uploaded on the official Pokémon YouTube channel earlier this week has been "fully restored", revealing for the first time Hisuian Forms of Zorua and Zoroark.
