Starting today, January 1st, and running through to January 29th, at 8:00pm local time, Trainers in Pokémon GO can purchase a ticket for Eggs-pedition Access to gain access to Timed Research and special bonuses. After purchasing the ticket, Trainers will have until January 31st, at 8:00pm local time to complete all research tasks and claim their rewards.

Niantic this week have announced the details of this year's Winter Holiday events in Pokémon GO. As part of Pokémon GO's celebration of the spooky season this year, Niantic has announced that a new Timed Research will unlock in-game each Thursday throughout the month of October. Detective Pikachu Returns, the sequel to 2018's Detective Pikachu on the 3DS, will be released worldwide on October 6th. To commemorate the release of the game, Pokémon GO will be running a special Detective Pikachu Returns event, commencing October 5th at 10:00am, and running through to October 9th, at 8:00pm local time. Pikachu wearing a detective hat will return to Pokémon GO as part of this event.

Niantic has announced details regarding the next Pokémon GO Hatch Day, which features the Polka Dot Pokémon, Azurill. During this event, which will be held on September 30th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time, Azurill will hatch more frequently from 2 km eggs, and Trainers will have an increased chance of hatching Shiny Azurill.
