2022 Social Impact ReportThe Pokémon Company International (TPCi) has issued their second annual Social Impact Report, detailing their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategies from 2022. TPCi has also used this announcement to welcome their first occupant of a newly-created role at the company, Raquel Daniels as its first Chief Diversity and Social Responsibility Officer, who will be responsible for overseeing and growing the CSR and DEI initiatives.

The RTA in Gunma 2024 event will be happening live from the 11th annual LAN Ran♪Gunma in ISOBE event from January 12nd to January 14th. A run of Pokémon Red and Green will feature in the event, in which the runner will attempt to complete the Diploma on both games without the use of glitches or assistance from other people. The event will be hosted on the RTA in Japan Twitch channel.

Pokémon Scarlet, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team, and the Japanese-exclusive WiiWare title Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Let's Go! Stormy Adventure Squad will feature in the VrTuber Raid RTA marathon, which is being held this weekend on January 6th and 7th (JST), and will be hosted by Japanese speedrunner icarus (イカロす) on their Twitch channel.

Pokémon Emerald, Pokémon Green, and Pokémon Crystal are being featured in the FINNRUNS Winter 2024 speedrunning event, which is being held this week from January 4th to January 7th, streaming live from GamePit Pro in Jyväskylä, Finland on the FINNRUNS Twitch channel. The event is being held in support of the World Wildlife Fund, and specifically the endangered Saimaa ringed seal, so that it may be seen in the wild in the future.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl and Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver will be featured in the RTA in Japan Winter 2023 charity marathon, which is being held at the Bellesalle Iidabashi First hotel in Tokyo, Japan from December 26th to December 31st (JST). This year's event will be raising money for Doctors Without Borders.

RTAinbiim are currently hosting the Winter 2023 edition of their speedrunning marathons, with the event running through to January 2nd. A run of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team will feature late in the event, on December 30th (JST/UTC) / December 29th (PST).

As first announced back in October, the Rocket's Revenge marathon from TheSpeedGamers will start this week on Friday December 15th, running through to Monday December 18th. The event, which is raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, will be streamed live on TheSpeedGamers Twitch Channel. This year's Pokémon marathon will feature Nuzlocke runs of unspecified Pokémon games ranging from the first generation to third generation. While the marathon will implicitly be a group undertaking, two randomly selected among the TSG team will be designated as Rocket members, whose goal will be to ensure the runs fail without their fellow players or viewers discovering them. Viewers will be able to vote to find the saboteurs, for a chance to win various Pokémon-themed prizes.

No Glitches Allowed (NoGA) will be hosting their annual everything-goes winter event from December 6th to December 10th. Pokémon Yellow and a multiworld randomizer Pokémon Red will both feature in the marathon, which can be watched from the group's Twitch channel. The event will be raising money for GO Rescue Pet Adoption Center, a no-kill dog shelter in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Really Really Long A Thon (RRLAT) Twitch channel will hosting a nonstop speedrunning marathon throughout December, supporting the Open Medicine Foundation. A run of PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure will be featured during the event, with the run presently scheduled for Wednesday, December 20th. The event can be watched from the marathon's Twitch channel.

Bingothon will be celebrating 5 years of charity marathons with their Winter 2023 event, which will run from December 1st to December 4th, in support of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. A race of Pokémon Emerald randomizer will feature as part of this event on December 3rd.

The team at Fast Paced Events will be hosting a charity marathon from December 1st to December 3rd, raising money for Take This, a mental health advocacy organization with a focus on the game industry and community. A randomizer for Pokémon Crystal will feature on the opening day of the event, which will be streamed live on their Twitch channel.

RetroGamingLiveTV will be hosting a charity speedrun marathon from November 23rd to November 27th, raising money for Random Acts, a charity organization originally founded in the wake of the 2010 earthquakes in Haiti. A run of Pokémon Stadium 2's Gym Leader Castle will feature on the opening day of this event. The event will be streamed live on the RetroGamingLiveTV Twitch channel.

Benelux Speedrunner Gathering (BSG) will be hosting their ninth charity speedrun marathon this weekend, raising money for Stichting MIND, a mental health charity in the Netherlands. A run of The Teal Mask DLC for Pokémon Scarlet will be featured on the event's final day on November 19th. The event will be be streamed live all weekend on the ESA channel on Twitch.

FastForTheKids will be performing the second part of a speedrun event in support of Extra Life benefiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals over this US Veterans Day weekend, with Pokémon Red/Blue being one of the featured games for the first day of runs on November 11th. Part one of the event was performed by the Pandora's Mighty Soldiers Clan, and raised $795 of their $2500 goal. The event can be watched from the PMS Clan's Twitch channel.

The latest Questing for Glory (QFG) speedrunning marathon is being held this week, starting November 6th and running through to November 12th. Pokémon Stadium will be one of the featured runs in this event on Saturday 11th, which can be watched from the RPGLimitBreak Twitch channel.

The Pokémon Company International confirmed this week that a giant Pokémon balloon will appear in the yearly Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, just as in every parade since the debut of the original Pikachu balloon in 2001. Pikachu and Eevee will appear along the 2.5 mile long parade route in New York City in their Poké Ball sleigh, accompanied by 90 balloon handlers on the ground. This will be Pikachu and Eevee’s third appearance in the sleigh, as the balloon debuted in 2021 in conjunction with the Pokémon franchise’s 25th anniversary. It’s also the first of the four Pokémon balloons in the parade’s history to feature a Pokémon other than Pikachu.

Le French Restream will be hosting the Interglitches: La fête du skip charity marathon from October 27th to October 29th live from the l'Institut du Cerveau in Paris, France, raising money for Institut du Cerveau (ICM), the Paris Brain Institute, an international brain and spinal cord research center developing treatments for nervous system disorders. The event will be streamed from the group's official Twitch channel, with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl being featured as a run on Sunday October 29th.
