Over the three-day weekend of August 18th, 19th, and 20th, over 70,000 players convened in New York City for the biggest Pokémon GO event to ever take place in the United States. Trainers from around the country came together to catch special Pokémon, participate in exclusive events, and explore the city with fellow Pokémon GO fans. One Trainer’s weekend, however, began sorrowfully.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be featured in the RTA in Japan Summer 2023 charity marathon, which is being held in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan, from August 10th to August 15th, and includes a mix of online and on-location runs. This year's event will be raising money for Doctors Without Borders

Taking to Instagram on Monday night, 2022 Australian Open Doubles winner Nick Kyrgios showed off the linework for his newest tattoo, a full back piece featuring Gengar, Mewtwo, Lapras, Gyarados, Snorlax, Dragonite and more, with a ready-for-action Blastoise as the centerpiece. The tattoo was completed by a team of five artists at Ganga Tattoo Studio in Los Angeles in the impressively quick time of a single hour, and was originally designed by Kyrgios’ brother Alexi Bouras.

Four Pokemon games are set to feature in the 2023 European Speedrunner Assembly (ESA) summer event, which will take place from July 22nd to July 30th across two streams in Malmö, Sweden. This year's event will be raising money for Alzheimerfonden, the Swedish Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Earlier this week, The Pokémon Company posted a news update on their official site informing people about their official Pokémon Community Forums. Despite being widely reported as a brand new forum, this forum has actually been in existance for well over a year. Up until now, the forum had been primarily focused on the Pokémon TCG Live Beta, as a place for users to report technical issues and bugs, and a variety of posts dating back to February 24th, 2022 are still visible in the sub-forums for the Pokémon TCG Live. Though many of the most inappropriate threads have now been deleted as of writing, it remains to be seen if these issues have actually been resolved, or if this is only a short term victory for a clearly overwhelmed moderation team.

With Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's launch now well behind us, we'd like to hear from you about Bulbapedia's coverage of Generation IX, as well as your feelings about Bulbapedia and its general user experience. Ahead of Pokémon Day celebrations on February 27th, The Pokémon Company International has launched a new campaign entitled Pokémon Together. The campaign invokes the spirit behind the overarching themes of connectivity that have been a part of the franchise since day one, asking fans to share their love for and memories of the franchise through social media using the hashtag #PokemonTogether. A selection of the posts made on this hashtag will be featured in a special Poké Ball mosaic that will be unveiled on Pokémon Day.

The holiday season is once again upon us, so ìt's past time that we here at Bulbagarden got the ball rolling with our annual Holiday Contests! This year, we have a total of four separate contests running over the holiday period, with more than $2000 USD of prizes up for grabs.

For the second year running, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will include a holiday themed balloon featuring Pikachu and Eevee riding in a giant Poké Ball-inspired sled and wearing winter clothing. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be broadcast in the United States live on NBC, and livestreamed on Peacock, starting at 9am in all US time zones.
