After the success of the Community Day meetups in March featuring Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew, Niantic has announced that the Pokémon GO April Community Day featuring Stufful, will also feature Community Day meetups. To celebrate Earth Day, Niantic will also be working with a non-profit partner to plant a tree for every Trainer who adventures 5 km on Stufful Community Day (up to US$100,000).

Niantic has revealed more details on the Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Seville event, which is being held from May 13th to 15th, in Parque del Alamillo, Seville, Spain. Alongside information about specific activities and Pokémon that will be available at this in-person live event, it's also been announced that individual Trainers will only be allowed to purchase tickets for one day of the three-day event.

Between April 24th to May 1st, a collective of Pokémon Twitch streamers are hoping to raise $100,000 by collectively catching 1 million Pokémon. The Catch a Million to Conquer Kids’ Cancer marathon is being held in support of St. Baldrick’s Foundation, an organisation that is commited to funding childhood cancer research worldwide. Any and all streamers, big or small, with any appreciation whatsoever for Pokémon, are invited to participate in the Catch a Million event. Viewers will also be able to participate directly in a special Twitch Plays race.

The Imitation Pokémon, Sudowoodo is appearing more frequently in Max Raid Battles in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield through April 2, 2022, at 8:59 a.m. JST. Very rarely, the Shiny variant can also be encountered.

Niantic has announced the dates for Pokémon GO Fest 2022. The event this year will be held as a two-day global event on Saturday, June 4th, and Sunday, June 5th, with a bonus finale event on Saturday, August 27th. In-person Pokémon GO Fest events will also be held for the first time in nearly three years.

The Starly Egg basket outfit is now available in Pokémon Café ReMix through the Pelipper Delivery feature. The probability of it being served drinks and dishes to recruit it is currently greatly increased until April 11, 2022, at 2:59 p.m. JST.

Niantic has released details of Pokémon GO's monthly update for April 2022. These events are scheduled to take place between Friday, April 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7).

Several prehistoric Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in Max Raid Battles in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield through March 27, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. These Pokémon include Carracosta, Archeops, Tyrantrum, and Aurorus. Very rarely, Shiny Tyrantrum can also be encountered.

Niantic has announced that select cities around the world will be hosting in-person Pokémon GO Community Day meetups this coming Sunday, March 13th. These in-person events will offer Trainers the opportunity to enjoy photo ops while playing and trading with other Trainers. The featured Pokémon for this month's Community Day are Sandshrew and Alolan Sandshrew.

Niantic has announced a new Pokémon GO Safari Zone event, to be held in Seville, Spain at Parque del Alamillo. Participating Trainers will be able to encounter a plethora of Pokémon that embody the spirit of Seville's fabled founder: Hercules. The event will be held from May 13th to 15th. This event will be the first-ever Safari Zone event in Spain. As shown in the promotional artwork, Tauros, Miltank, Unown E, Solrock, Corphish, and Deino will be featured during the event.

A new Mystery Gift event for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl was revealed in the Pokémon Presents livestream broadcast on February 27th. From now to March 27th at 7:59 a.m. (PDT), an item called Oak's Letter will be distributed. As with the event-exclusive key item of the same name that was distributed in a wi-fi event for Pokémon Platinum in 2009, after receiving Oak's Letter, players can use it to start an in-game event that will allow them to encounter the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin.

The official Japanese language Twitter account for The Pokémon Company has confirmed that a Pokémon Presents video will premiere on the official Pokémon YouTube channel this Pokémon Day, February 27th, at 11pm JST (6am PST). The video will be approximately 14 minutes in length. The tweet states the video will deliver "the latest information", however it stops short of giving any specifics about what kinds of announcements we can expect.

The long delayed Pokémon GO collaboration to commemorate the launch of Pokémon Air Adventures has finally been rescheduled, and will now be taking off from March. The event was originally scheduled to start from July 22nd, 2021, but was postponed due to the then ongoing increase in COVID-19 cases in Japan, and around the world. In addition to special Wild Pokémon encounters and PokéStops in Okinawa, Japan, trainer's worldwide will be able to participate in a global collaboration event in May.

The Gigantamax forms of the final evolutions of the First Partner Pokémon of the Kanto region, Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise, will be appearing more frequently in Max Raid Battles in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield through February 28, 2022 at 8:59 JST. Trainers will receive Max Mushrooms when they defeat or capture the Pokémon. This event is to celebrate Pokémon Day 2022, the 26th anniversary of the release of Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Green Version in Japan. To encounter these Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle, you'll need to connect your Nintendo Switch system to the internet through the Y-Comm or by selecting Mystery Gift in the X menu, then selecting Get the Wild Area News. After that, whenever you see a pillar of light shining from a Pokémon Den in the Wild Area, you can walk up to the Pokémon Den and interact with it to start a Max Raid Battle. This event does not affect the Pokémon encountered within Dynamax Adventures.

A teaser image from the official Pokémon Café Mix Twitter account has revealed that Shiny Starly can appear as a Customer Pokémon in Pokémon Café ReMix from February 23, 2022 onward. An event will start on the same day, where Shiny Starly have a higher chance of appearing as Customer. It is not yet known when this event will end.

Niantic has announced that the first Pokémon GO Safari Zone event for 2022 will be held in Seville, Spain, at the Parque del Alamillo from May 13th to 15th. Niantic has announced that several cities across Europe will be holding real-world celebrations of the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto on February 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

Niantic has announced the GO Tour Poké Ball Prep Rally event in Pokémon GO, which aims to help Trainers all over the world get ready and to make sure everybody has more than enough Poké Balls for the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event on February 26th. Hisuian Electrode will also make their Pokémon GO debut. It will be held from February 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to February 25, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Dress up as the Ball Guy, the iconic and mysterious character known to appear at the Galar Pokémon League, with a new avatar outfit which will be available in the shop at the start of this event. Niantic has released details for Pokémon GO Tour: Live events in Monterrey, Mexico at Parque Fundidora, and in Kaohsiung, Taiwan at the Taiwan Lantern Festival, which are being held one day after the worldwide Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event. Meanwhile, the originally planned Pokémon GO Tour: Live event in Yas Bay, Abu Dhabi has been cancelled due to the pandemic. Trainers who have previously purchased tickets for this event will receive a refund.

Niantic has announced that the Cottonweed Pokémon, Hoppip will be the featured Pokémon for February 2022's Pokémon GO Community Day. Hoppip will be appearing more frequently in the wild and its Shiny variant can also be encountered. Skiploom will also appear in Parks alongside Hoppip. The event will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. When you evolve Skiploom into Jumpluff during, or within two hours after the event, it will learn the Charged Attack Acrobatics. The move will deal 110 damage in Trainer Battles and 100 damage in Gyms and in raids.
