An update on Nintendo's official Japanese website has announced that the next Tetris 99 Grand Prix will be a collaboration with Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The event will run from Friday January 21st to Tuesday January 25th (JST).

Lucky-themed Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in Max Raid Battles in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield through January 10th, 2022, at 8:59 a.m. JST. These Pokémon include Meowth, Magikarp, Sudowoodo, and Darmanitan. Very rarely, a Shiny Magikarp may also be encountered. To encounter these Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle, players will need to connect their Nintendo Switch systems to the internet through the Y-Comm or by selecting Mystery Gift in the X menu, then selecting Get the Wild Area News. Simply walk up to and interact with any Pokémon Den in the Wild Area whenever you see a pillar of light shining from it to start a Max Raid Battle. This event does not affect the Pokémon encountered within Dynamax Adventures.

Registration for the Test Your Luck! Online Competition in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield has started, and will remain open until January 6th, 2022. The competition itself will then run from January 7th, 2022 at 00:00 UTC to January 9th, 2022 at 23:59 UTC.

Niantic has released more details regarding the first-ever Pokémon GO Tour: Live event, which will be held on February 27th, 2022, a day after the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto on February 26th, 2022.

Niantic has announced details for the Holidays 2021 event in Pokémon GO. Bergmite, Avalugg, and Shiny Galarian Darumaka will make their Pokémon GO debuts. Pokémon GO Winter Holiday will run from December 16th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. local time to December 31th, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. local time.

The latest solo event in Pokémon Masters EX is really one for the fans - literally! The new Solo Event: For the Fans, showcases Elesa, Nimbasa Gym's electrifying Gym Leader, along with Lisia, a Pokémon Coordinator from Sootopolis City and the niece of Sootopolis City Gym Leader Wallace. A Poké Fair Scout focused on Elesa in her Classic outfit will also be running alongside this event. Additionally, Tornadus will be returning to the Legendary Arena, with new Event Missions. These events and scouts will all be running until December 22nd, 2021 at 9:59 PM PST.

Following on the heels of their Halloween Festival in October, a new in-game event has been announced for Pokémon UNITE to celebrate the festive season. As with the Halloween Festival, this new event will feature new ways to play, new holowear, and new customization options for trainers. Two new Pokémon will also be joining the playable roster alongside this event, with Tsareena entering the arena on December 9th, and Dragonite joining the fray on December 20th.

Sentosa Island in Singapore will be paying host to a special Eevee Adventure event from December 9th, 2021, through to February 20th, 2022, with a range of events and competitions for people to enjoy that all feature the Evolution Pokémon Eevee.

December marks the start of the Season of Heritage in Pokémon GO, which will run from December 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local, until March 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time. While visiting a historical cave site, Professor Willow has stumbled on a large door bearing a set of strange unlocking mechanisms. Players must collaborate with both Professor Willow and the team leaders to help uncover this historic site's mysteries.

Niantic has delivered their monthly update of upcoming events in Pokémon GO, detailing a range of bonus days and events that are scheduled to be running over the course of the month.

The official Japanese Pokémon Café ReMix website has announced several events that will be running over the Christmas season for Pokémon Café ReMix. Additionally, it has also been announced that Shiny Pokémon will be appearing in future events.

Registration for the new Tiny Tourney Online Competition in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield has started, and will remain open until December 9, 2021, at 3:59 p.m. PST. The competition itself will then run from December 9, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. PST until December 12, 2021, at 3:59 p.m. PST.

Niantic has announced the schedule and details for the upcoming GO Battle League Season 10 in Pokémon GO. The season will start on November 29, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8). As previously announced, Trainers who reach Legend rank this season will be able to register early for certain Pokémon GO World Championship Series events.

Niantic has announced the Season of Mischief in Pokémon GO will be concluding with the Mischief Unbound event, which will start on November 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., and ends on November 29, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

After the date was revealed in the first Pokémon GO Developer Diaries episode, Niantic has announced more details for the Pokémon GO Community Day event in December. The event will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, and Sunday, December 19, 2021. Throughout the event, Pokémon featured in Community Day events throughout 2021 will be appearing more frequently in the wild, while Pokémon featured in Community Day events during 2020 will be hatching from Eggs and appearing in raids.

Mirroring the previously announced event in Japan, Niantic has announced that a Pokémon GO Special Weekend will take place exclusively in Mexico from December 10 to 12, 2021, in partnership with 7-Eleven Mexico.

To commemorate the release of the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran's newest = studio album, a collaboration event has been announced by Niantic. The event will take place between November 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. PST (GMT -8) and November 30, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT -8).

This December, TheSpeedGamers, a group of video game enthusiasts who play for marathon hours to raise money for charities, will be hosting their latest Pokémon Charity Marathon to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The marathon will be streamed live on TheSpeedGamers Twitch Channel at http://twitch.tv/thespeedgamers from Friday December 17 at 6pm US Central Time.

Niantic has announced several additional bonuses to be made available for the Shinx Community Day event in Pokémon GO this Sunday. During and two hours after the November Community Day event hours, you can get up to three free Raid Passes from Gyms and trades will require 25% less Stardust. Pokémon storage can now be increased to a maximum of 5,000, while Item Bag storage can be increased to a maximum of 4,000. Before the December Community Day, Pokémon storage can be increased to a maximum of 5,500, while Item Bag storage can be increased to a maximum of 4,500. ESL SEA Pte. Ltd. and Pokémon Asia have announced the Pokémon Battle Festival Asia 2021, the very first event in Asia featuring tournaments, exhibition matches, and special shows across multiple Pokémon titles. The event will include tournaments for games including Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon GO, Pokémon UNITE and the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Each tournament will feature players from Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan. The festival will be held on weekends from November 26, 2021 to February 13, 2022.
