The clothing from this new lineup features photo snaps of fan-favourite Pokémon including Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, and Eevee, all chilling out and having fun on holiday in a tropical setting reminiscent of some of the locales from the Lental region.

After what might generously be described as a disaster of a release in the United States earlier this year, with widespread stories of scalpers picking stores clean of all available stock, McDonald's will be bringing Pokémon 25th Anniversary Happy Meals to stores in the United Kingdom from May 19th, immediately following the current Spongebob Squarepants Happy Meal promotion.
Continuing to expand their extensive lineup of Pokémon clothing alongside the franchise's 25th anniversary celebrations, Original Stitch has launched a new line of Pokémon aprons. As with all Original Stitch Pokémon products, customers can customize their clothing from a wide array of patterns. Available for these Aprons are a set of 151 different patterns, each inspired by one of the Pokémon from the first generation of games.

In the latest of what seems like an never ending stream of clothing brands announcing special Pokémon collaborations, UK retailer Zavvi has revealed details on its line of limited edition items celebrating Pokémon's 25th Anniversary. The collection, which centers around the iconic Generation 1 Pokémon Pikachu, is scheduled to go on sale on the Zavvi website on Pokémon Day, February 27th, in a staggered rollout. While Zavvi is a UK based retailer, their website does offer international shipping, and there appear to be no limits on Pokéfans outside of the UK scoring themselves any of the items in the limited collection, or any of the other Pokémon clothing and merchendise that the company sells.

In a statement provided to multiple media organisations, McDonalds responded to the ongoing shortages of Pokémon 25th Anniversary Happy Meal Toys and Cards, and confirmed they are working with supply chain partners to restock these items. Their official statement stopped short however of directly acknowledging the ongoing flagrant scalping of these product on online auction sites such as eBay.
The real test for anyone wanting to catch these Pokémon cards and toys won't just be how far and wide you're willing to travel across the land. In a sad addition to the list of why we can't have nice things, the rollout of these Happy Meals has been marred by reports of scalpers and overzealous adult collectors snapping up all available stock.
The Pokémon Company International has today kicked off celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise with a live action retrospective video showcasing each generation of Pokémon to-date.
From Premium Bandai, the makers of the Snorlax plushie that was large enough to sleep on, comes the newest piece of strange Pokémon merchandise from Japan. The Zettai Nameraretai Gengaa ( 絶対に舐められたいゲンガー ) or "Gengar that you absolutely want to be licked by" cushion.
This cushion looks more like it'd give you nightmares than give you rest. Measuring 170cm, or roughly 5 feet 5 inches long, Gengar's cushioned pink tongue forms a full length futon for you to sleep on while you rest your head inside of Gengar's plush mouth. The tongue can also be used as a pillow or blanket on its own. When not in use, the tongue rolls back to be stored inside Gengar's mouth.
The cushion is retailing on Premium Bandai's website for ¥JP 25,950, or roughly $USD 250, plus shipping. As of writing the first batch (expected to ship in June) has already sold out, however there are hopes Premium Bandai will restock the item in future given the obvious high demand for this unique item.

While Pokémon food products are pretty common in Japan, they've been much less common in the west over the past two decades. With the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise looming in 2021 however, it appears this is about to change. In an announcement of new cereals and line extensions this week, General Mills revealed that they would be releasing a new "Berry Bolt" cereal themed around the ever popular franchise mascot Pikachu, who prominently appears front and center on the cereal's bright red box. This cereal features red and blue berry-flavored corn puffs, together with yellow marshmallows in the shape of Pikachu’s head and tail. Continuing the focus on Pikachu, the titular Pokémon makes a grand appearance on the front of the bright red box.
