The official Pokémon UNITE Twitter account has announced that Gardevoir will be joining Pokémon unite as a Ranged Attacker this Wednesday, July 28th. As of writing no further details have been provided about how players will be able to unlock them, or how much in-game currency that might require.
If you haven’t been following much (or really, any) Pokémon news of late, Pokémon UNITE is a new Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game brought to us by Tencent, currently available on Switch and, come September, iOS and Android devices - crucially, it’s also free to download and play.
The nature of a Free to Play (FtP) game, with constantly evolving features and varying levels of content depending on what you’re prepared to pay, makes it difficult to provide a conventional, comprehensive review of Pokémon UNITE, so instead we’re going to share our first impressions on the title. Later down the line we’ll be checking in to see how the health of the game is holding up, how well new content has been received and whether or not the balance between free and paid content feels egregious - many FtP games have boasted a strong start, only to be later hobbled by irritating economies.
The Pokémon Company International and TiMi Studio Group have announced that Pokémon UNITE will release on July 21, 2021, for Nintendo Switch systems. Pokémon UNITE will be free-to-start, with optional in-game purchases available. To celebrate launch and as an early download bonus, players who log in to the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon UNITE by August 31, 2021 at 14:59 PM UTC, will be able to claim a Unite license for Zeraora using the in-game mail system.
The Pokémon Company International and TiMi Studio Group have announced that Pokémon’s first strategic team battle game, Pokémon UNITE, will be released in July 2021 on the Nintendo Switch systems and in September 2021 on mobile devices. Pokémon UNITE will be free-to-start, with optional in-game purchases available. Pokémon UNITE will first be available in English, Korean, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. French, Italian, Spanish, and German language support will be added later this year. Cross-platform play which will allow players from both platforms to battle together will be added. Players may use their Pokémon Trainer Club account or Nintendo Account on both versions to keep their progress synced between devices.
