Project VOLTAGE, the special art and music collaboration project between Pokémon and the popular Volcaloid character Hatsune Miku, releases its next song tomorrow with the premiere of Hyu~dorodoro featuring Hatsune Miku & MEIKO (ひゅ〜どろどろ feat 初音ミク&MEIKO). The name of the song comes from the sound a person reacting when startled (ひゅ), and onomatopoeia for a rumbling or booming sound (どろどろ). The music video set to premiere on the official YouTube of Kuriyama Yuri and Van de Shop this Friday, February 9th, at 6:30pm (JST) / 9:30am (UTC) / 1:30am (PST).
Pokémon Sleep has received an update today to Version 1.2.0. This new major patch adds some new features to make the process of checking recipes and cooking a little bit easier for Sleep Researchers, as well as making balance adjustments to the carry limits for a range of non-evolving Pokémon. The update has also fixed several unspecified small bugs.
In an update posted today to the Official Pokémon Homepage, The Pokémon Company International has announced that the latest series of Play! Pokémon Prize Packs will be available starting February 14th. Players will be able to acquire these special 6-card booster packs by participating in various Play! Pokémon events, including Leagues, League Challenges, and League Cups, at participating retail locations.

Smash Bros. Ultimate has started 2024 off with a series of four new Spirit Board events, each of which have added a selection of new spirits to the game. The third of these events is scheduled to start this Friday, February 9th, running for 5 days through to February 14th, and will feature a range of Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet appearing as spirits for the first time.
Just in time for Valentine's, the seasonally appropriate Rendezvous Pokémon Luvdisc will be appearing with the Fairy Tera Type in special 3- and 5-star Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet next week, between Monday February 12th at 00:00 (UTC), and Thursday February 15th at 23:59 (UTC).
While the collaboration between The Pokémon Company International and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam has had its setbacks, good news has been announced for fans hoping to get their hands on the elusive TCG promo item. “Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat” is announced to be coming to over 1,000 toy stores and gift shops in the Netherlands, including the chains Primera, Bruna, Intertoys, Game Mania, Top1Toys, MediaMarkt and Smyths Toys Superstores, as well as smaller specialty shops. Cards are limited to one per customer and are only available as a free gift with the purchase of €29.99 worth of Pokémon Trading Card Game merchandise. The card will be available for a limited time beginning Saturday, February 10th.
The new Trainer Files: Elegant Flying-Type Pokémon event has just launched today in Pokémon Masters EX. Running alongside this event are a set of Variety Scouts featuring Falkner, with his new sync partner Noctowl. The event and Scouts will both be available until February 18th at 9:59pm (PST).
Blossoms are blooming next week in Pokémon GO with a pair of events themed around Valentine's Day, and the Brazilian Carnaval. The Carnival of Love 2024 event will run from February 13th at 10:00am through to February 15th at 8:00pm local time, and feature the Pokémon GO debut of Shiny Oricorio. Meanwhile, the Love-Hate Pokémon Enamorus will be making its debut in Elite Raids in its Incarnate Forme on February 14th.
Pokémon Sleep's Valentine's Day 2024 event will start on February 12th. Ahead of the start of this event, from February 11th at 4:00am (UTC), a selection of special Valentine's Day 2024 Bundles will be made available from the in-game store. These bundles will remain available until one day after the end of the event, on Tuesday February 20th at 3:59am (UTC).
Since last week's episode of Pokémon Horizons was Roy-focused, it makes sense that this week's episode would be Liko-focused. What’s even better is that it’s also a Hatenna-focused episode too! I think this is the first time she's had focus since her debut. And what's even better than a Hatenna-focused episode? The adult accompanying Liko for this episode isn’t Friede, but Mollie! She’s one of my favorites in Horizons, so I’m glad that she gets to have some of thee spotlight again!
Pokémon Masters EX is throwing down the gauntlet to trainers once more, with the Legendary Gauntlet returning until February 23rd. Players finding themselves without the proper sync pairs to take on the Gauntlet will be able to take advantage of two new Scouts that are launching alongside this event, featuring a variety of Sync Pairs suited to these particular challenges. The developers have also issued a notice regarding a current issue preventing players from completing Battle Rallies.
Following on from the debut of Chase & Pikachu earlier this week, Petey (Poké Kid) & Pikachu are making their Pokémon Masters EX debut in a brand new Special Sync Pair Event. This event is live in-game now, and will remain available until February 18th, at 9:59pm (PST).
2024 continues to bring regular in-game events to Pokémon Sleep, with a week-long event celebrating Valentine's Day scheduled to start on February 12th, immediately following the end of the current two-week long Lapis Lakeside Opening event, and running through to Monday February 19th at 3:59am local time.
St Baldrick's Foundation is once again challenging the Pokémon streaming community to collectively catch 1 million Pokémon, and in the process help them raise $100,000 to fund childhood cancer research. Any and all streamers, big or small, with any appreciation whatsoever for Pokémon, are invited to participate in the event between April 7th and 14th, and help the foundation reach its fundraising goal.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet received an update to Version 3.0.1. This update, which was originally hoped to release in mid-January, resolves a number of bugs present in the game since the Version 3.0.0 update in December for The Indigo Disk, including issues acknowledged back in a late December update.
Niantic released details for the upcoming Raid Day event featuring the Pokémon GO debut of Hisuian Decidueye, on February 11th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. Hisuian Decidueye will be appearing in three-star raids during this time, together with its Shiny variant.
