Why exactly?

For me it's either Janine, Chuck, Brawly, Drayden, or Clay.

I'm not sure honestly but here's the closest I can think of.

Drayden seems too boring for me, and his design is put offish.
There's nothing that special about Clay.
Koga blocks Janine out of my mind, and I connect her with Johto rather then Kanto.
Chuck.. Doesn't really stand out much. Likewise, Brawly.

Chuck, probably. Most likely because the other fighting type Gym leaders, (Brawly, Maylene), have more uniqueness to them.

Its easy to forget Winona now, especially since Skyla is the new, "flying type female Gym leader," that beats Winona on the fanservice scale.

...Who's Chuck?

I'll go with Chuck or Brawly...

Probably any Gym Leader from Hoenn is pretty much a blur to me...

I think the only reason the Hoenn Gym leader's are being forgotten is:

- R/S are very old games that haven't been remade

- HGSS reminded everyone of the Johto Gym leaders

- The Kanto Gym leaders have been in every gen and everyone will always remember them

- DP Gym leaders was just last gen.

That being said some of the Hoenn Gym leaders like Flannery, Wallace, Tate/Liza etc. are very memorable.

XD
I was actually reading the posts going "who's Chuck?"

Yeah now that I've been reminded of him, Chuck

Chuck - surely

but i don't get how you included the rest of those in your post, Somari, i think they're (exception being chuck) unique.

Let's see how many Unova gym leaders I know!

-The waiter trio that use the monkeys
-Aloe the big lady with normal types
-Artie (i think) who is in the big city and has bugs. I remember this mostly because of the anime
-That electric girl
-The ground type guy I think is cool (if only for using ground types) I think he is a cowboy
-There is a flying type gym leader according to everyone, but i don't know what she looks like
-Iris or Drayden with Haxorus and the other two dragons

Well, that's all I got! There's 1 more, but whoever they are, they are definitely the least memorable for whatever reason

EDIT: just remembered, there's some kind of creepy ice guy, right?

^^he was a Movie star that underwent Mental and Physical training
he's EPIC

Chuck. LOL, I remember all the gym leaders, but he was the one that i really had to think about to remember.

Tate and Liza. I always forget about them. O_O
Actually, the most forgettable character for me is Glacia.
I didn't remember the Hoenn Elite Four and I forgot about her for about 3.5 years.
I find Chuck quite memorable, though.

I always forget some of the Kanto Gym Leaders. I never will be able to remember Koga or Blaine. Now to think of it, Surge been one that slips my mind too.

I doubt too many people remember who Candice is.

That's why I like the Unova gym leaders. They actually do things outside of battling you.

Probably Kagetsu/Sidney is the most forgetten by the fandom in my opinion, but I still like him, especially in Pokemon Adventures.

I think the most forgettable is probably Kyou/Koga. Both as Gym Leader and Elite Four. Anzu/Janine too. They are the only Poison-type specialists, though.

Chuck he proably the only gym leader I forgot existed before reading this thread XD.

I always forget about Roark. All the other Sinnoh gym leaders are pretty 'out-there' or have some interesting quirk, including the likes of luchadore or extravagant foreign diva.
Then you've got Roark, who's just...a guy wearing a hard hat, I guess. It doesn't help that most of his team is playing copycat to Brock, either.

I used to foget Chuck a lot, but then he got that badass Sugimori art for the remakes.
