Bulbapedia Suggestions, ideas, and problems

here's some trivia for excavilier.

"They fly around at high speed" says its black pokedex entry, however it has a base 20 speed.

I suppose this would be the place...

Here's some beta art of some GSC pokemon I thought should be added. They seem pretty close to their final forms, although the proportions are messed up on a lot of them, and there's notable differences between Entei, Raikou, Larvitar, Lugia, Celebi and especially Hitmontop(Note the missing leg.) Also note Houndoom's Red horns, and Seaking's ugly face.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, before R/G, weren't pokemon only supposed to evolve once if at all? I remember reading that, but I'm not sure where.
And the beta names of Abra and Kadabra seem to support that(Hocus and Pocus; note that there's not a third thing that goes with Hocus Pocus.)

Also, I know it's off topic, but are some of the beta names for Gen I Pokémon just better than their official ones? I think so.
Like Ess and Kargo, as well as Att and Lantis. Meduza, Skulkraken, Tonguetyd and the Machop line's names were also good, and Eon for Eevee makes SO MUCH SENSE.

FUCKIN HELL, CABBAGE PATCH KIDS!!!!
Those are very poor quality, so I would asume they are fake. Also note that Raikou matches its "incorrect" Gold/Silver sprites, rather than its artwork.

I don't know about the evolution thing.

And Bulbapedia cannot accept opinions such as "X is better than Y" so we won't be publishing "Hocus is better than Abra" or any equivalent.

I think I need to nudge this suggestion because it is needed - unless this is done, there is no way to separate those moves that hit all other Pokémon and those which only hit adjacent ones.

i have a simple suggestion...

the template for which attack hits who is kinda like this at present:

FOE FOE FOE
ALLY SELF ALLY

utterly pointless (don't quote this saying "what if you're in the middle!?!" seriously think before saying that - it's irrelevant)

the visual display tells you nothing about targets on the other side of the field and it needs to be like this:

FOE FOE FOE
SELF ALLY ALLY

that is all

Currently, I find it very annoying about the amount of empty space on pages regarding species, and they average to be quite lengthy if they're from older generations.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12655274/misc/unused space.png
Currently, space issues like that can be fixed (mostly) by collapsing the contents, but why shouldn't it be default then?
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12655274/misc/more unused.png
As these pages are, a lot of the issue is with not using horizontal space as much as possible- Even though this accomidates for users with monitors with less width, or for people who don't maxumize their browser, it should at least be changeable.

The way HTML flows doesn't give much leeway to put things next to each other horizontally without breaking it for lower resolutions, really.

(Your screen is the same size as mine; I'd suggest you to not use the browser as maximized, you can use only a part of the screen for the browser and the rest for other stuff :p)

Sturdy

I don't know where to put this but on the one hit KO page, it says that Sturdy no longer gives an immunity to one hit KO moves, but I tried it on Black using Sheer Cold on a Boldore, it didn't work and said that Sturdy activated, so in short Sturdy still gives an immunity to moves like Sheer Cold.

last line of the first section:
"Pokémon holding a Focus Sash and those with Sturdy in Generation V will be instead reduced to 1 HP by a OHKO move."

*hand raise*

May we have an article on Diamond Dust now? If it can be found in three games, and only crops up in three specific locations on specific dates, none of which are listed anywhere on our gracious wiki, doesn't it warrant a bit of...oh...expanding upon? Y/Y?

No I mean I tried it and it didn't do any damage, it worked like it did in generations 3 and 4.

Here?
Wouldn't that do fine?

The Faraway place page needs a Japanese name.

List of Generation V locations by index number:

The non-in-game ones don't have definite English names that I know of. Even though the ones at the end say the same thing as Stranger did, I don't know if they say Stranger.

I don't know if the Link Trade locations are arrive and met in that order as in Generation IV.

Will anyone who can, check?

NOTE: Battle Subway is not the same thing as Gear Station: it is the place with all the benches that you reach after a seven-win streak.

What if on the experience page or maybe the level page someone could add information about things that happen at level 100 for each gen? Like no longer being able to gain experience, or evolve, or the PC trick for updating EVs? These things have always confused me and it'd be nice to have it laid out in one place.

Hasn't done fine so far.

Diamond dust is a special event effect. The fact that it's a footnote with little to no information is underplaying its special snowflake status.
I guess it could have its own section on that page, especially since it doesn't cause Hail battle unlike the other types of snow/hail. But if the true weather conditions don't get their own pages, I don't see why a purely aesthetic one does.

How's this? I used some content that was already there and wrote a bit myself to write it, and searching "Level 100" redirects there.
