Every-time the player tries to leave their home without pokemon they are told that its dangerous, but when ever the actually leaves with pokemon, all the local wild pokemon are no stronger than lvl 5. How can level 5 pokemon can be dangerous to a person even if the person is a kid. At least the Anime actually shown why it is dangerous with all those Spearow, but in the games none of the local pokemon are the extremely aggressive type that would gang up on you.

About 10 Starly/Bidoof are there on the way to Rowan's Lab.

That could damage a child.

They couldn't in singular battles. Like said before the gang up on you.

Actually only the starter is lvl 5 the others are weaker than that ,but it's true that they are only dangerous after you fight like 10 of those and your starter is tired ^^

Maybe because its "scary" to walk on tall grass? Together with the fear and possibility of monsters, big or small, suddenly attacking you, travelling through tall grasses along the journey could be dangerous.

Let me cite a real world example: You are walking along grasslands and suddenly, a snake/rat bites you. Isn't it dangerous?

Maybe having a pokemon with your side could provide you good security and defend you from those "sudden" events.

Say you're not the player character and you're a little kid; they've unleashed a roamer, Zapdos or Raikou for example. Suddenly you walk out in the grass and see a threatening Legendary pop out, you have no idea they'll run away but you're scared anyway. They run away then a Rattata or Bidoof runs up to you and they Tackle you. You'd be scared then.

I've seen Level SEVEN Pidgey on Route 1 in Yellow before. Not sure how high they can get in R/B though.

Well, you have to look at it realistically (if that's possible).

If you have a Lv 5 pokemon, but you're defenseless, that pokemon could severely hurt you, especially if you're the same age as the player character.

Sure, they're harmless to your Pokemon because Pokemon are made to battle each other, but imagine yourself being bitten by an angry Rattata. Humans don't even have levels.

Because punching Bidoofs in the face is cruel and cheating and they could just gang beat the child.

Sheesh. I understand the other games, because you're a kid, but in Black/White, aren't you supposed to be like 14? I think that's old enough to deal with wild puppy dogs.

Well, let's consider that some of these pokemon are rather vicious. They attack you for no reason even with pokemon and they have no problem attacking the pokemon you send out. So it stands to reason that if you go into the grass alone, the sentret in there would have no second thoughts about beating your skull in with their tails.

Why isn't it mentioned how Rawan was assaulted by level 2 Poochyena/Zigzagoon? He needed our help.

Just look at AG001. Birch was attacked by like 3 Poochyena, they could've killed him.

Maybe because it was Birch.

Anyway, probably because of the risk of bi=eing bitten, pecked, ect. To a Pokemon, it's no big deal, but to a person, it's a different story.

Think of it this way. Lvl. 5 Bidoof vs. Lvl. 0 Little-kid-that-doesn't-know-what-the-crud-they're-doing

Give the kid a shotgun.

He is fine now till they reach level 20.

None of the wild pokemon around the player's hometown are the kind that would gang up on person and Professor Birch thought the Pochyena/Zigzagoon was a higher level than it really was that or tried avoiding kicking because it could bring attention of it's parents.
