Honestly I have bad fears about what could come about in Ash's battles with Elesa. Let me guess, Pikachu's bummed out that Ash isn't using him, because for once Ash actually wants to factor type for once. He gets his butt kicked because the plot says so, and he learns that he needs to respect Pikachu more, he uses Pikachu in a rematch, and wins. Basically the only lesson learned would be "Ash is always wrong."

I'm pretty sure it's confirmed that Ash wins. Thankfully. Since the next episode summary says that Ash tries to go across the bridge, but is unable too so he goes sightseeing.

Though with the whole depressed thing I can easily see Ash getting backed into a corner, and deciding to use Pikachu anyway.

I bet you that, if we have to have a rematch at some point after Ash/Cilan/Subway Masters, Ash will think he can't win without Pikachu and will use him and magically win in the final moments.... Something stupid I can completely see happening.

But Im just glad we wont see Pikachu being used for a while. I can only hope that Ash doesnt use him against Clay, meaning Pikachu can at least be used rightfully against Skylar or possibly Brycen.

Satoshi and Bel and friends visit Raimon Gym, and there Bel's father is waiting to bring her back home. In order to persuade him otherwise, Bel battles the Gym Leader Kamitsure to show how much she's grown.

I hope Bianca has actually grown as a serious rival since we last saw her. As much as we love her, she's more of a joke than a rival. It'd be nice if she could balance both.

Kamitsure looks great! Although it is rather hard to judge since it's a small picture.

I agree with this. I love Bel's character a lot, and do appreciate her quirky personality. But I could see her turn to a serious side in this episode, when she is talking to her Dad. It could be rather sad and heartbreaking to see the happy go lucky Bel so upset over her father. If done right, of course.

Might not be the best set of animation directors, but regardless, I think they did a good job, and Elesa looks really cool in the show. I honestly never thought much of her before, but seeing her outside of that one piece of official art with alternative expressions is making me warm up to her. Good to see her fan-girling over Pikachu too, though I hope it's a side of her she does her best to stifle, like that of her game counterpart.

And lookit dat, spoiled rat!Pikachu seems like it'll be generating a few laughs. Pun sadly unintended.

The Magnificent Gym Leader, Kamitsure appears. Kamitsure specialises in using the electric type.
BW49: Raimon Gym's Gym Leader is the favourite model, Kamitsure. Satoshi wants to battle, but Bel's father is in the Gym... With her father wanting to take her back home, Kamitsure proposes that she and Bel battle, and to take Bel back if she loses.
BW50: Satoshi is practicing tactics prior to his Gym Battle. In order to counter Kamitsure's electric-type Pokemon, he drops Pikachu from his team, and Pikachu becomes unhappy. And the Gym battle starts with Satoshi using Gamagaru.

BW49: Satoshi and friends have come to Raimon City to get the fourth badge. In the Gym, the favourite model who controls electric-types serves as a Gym Leader. Bel wants to hurry and challenge her, but on the Field her father is waiting to take her back.

BW50: Satoshi is practicing tactics prior to his Gym Battle. In order to counter her powerful Electric-typed Pokemon, he makes up a team which excludes Pikachu, and Pikachu who was ready to battle gets depressed. In the Gym Battle, Satoshi counters with Gamagaru, who Electric-typed techiques do not work upon.

BW49: In order to get the fourth badge, Satoshi and friends, and Bel, come to Raimon Gym. In Raimon Gym the Gym Leader is the electric-type Pokemon controller, the favourite model Kamitsure. But. Bel's father waited in the Gym. Bel's father tells her to stop her adventuring and return home.
BW50: Satoshi is practicing tactics to oppose Kamitsure's fearsome Electric-type Pokemon, and so makes up a team which doesn't include Pikachu who cannot deal much damage to Kamitsure's Pokemon. But, Pikachu who was ready to battle gets upset. And the battle starts.

Elesa looks really great! And nice! And downearth and in love with Pikachu! Hope in season 6 she sends her little sister to travel with Ash!
pikachu looks funny while screaming on Ash! Hope it learns echo or the other voice!
