Unsolved Mysteries in X/Y...

Speaking of which, yet again, did that guy on 4chan who claimed to have those weird events happen in those caves ever happen to follow up on it?

What makes you so sure the non-Gen VI Pokemon aren't indigenous to Kalos? There's evidence that some populations, such as Kalos' Lucario population, may have developed from immigrating species. The founder of Mega Evolution, if I recall, wasn't native to Kalos so at the very least, the Riolu may be the offspring of this original Lucario.

Lysandre also has many texts chronicling the war:

Over the ages, people and Pokemon worked alongside one another and created many things. As a result of this, a leader appeared among the humans. That leader sought to produce even more goods. Increased population of goods created a gap between haves and have-nots.
The mountains will never know one another, but people can encounter other people. And people and Pokemon mix together.
Full of sorrow, AZ built the ultimate weapon. When he did this, he left the following words. “What’s wrong with bringing something you love back into this world? Without my beloved Pokemon, no other Pokemon have any meaning!”

The king’s name was AZ, and he was both the beginning and the end. He used technology unlike any seen during that era to unite Kalos for the first time.
The king was proud of the technology he had used to bring Kalos prosperity, but he couldn’t help but use it in a way that had never been intended… AZ, the man who was king, disappeared.
When AZ, the man who was king, vanished, he took the key to the ultimate weapon. That is the item required to activate the weapon.

The king couldn’t escape war with those who targeted a wealthy Kalos. The war grew so violent and ugly, the king was forced to send his own beloved Pokemon into battle.
AZ had a younger brother. It’s said he led a legion of greedy souls who wanted to seize the Kalos region. His dark intention was to make it his own. But when he saw Kalos had been ravaged by the war, he took the weapon his brother had created, and he buried that weapon deep underground.
The king’s younger brother told his progeny the location of the ultimate weapon and died. That is something to be used by sophisticated powers, not by humans. Human beings must create a world where such a weapon is not necessary…

The lower shelves on the left suggests that other nations invaded Kalos. We know from flashbacks that Abomasnow were strapped onto the stone that powered AZ's weapon. Perhaps the majority of Kalos' non-Gen VI Pokemon were refugees from opposing armies who tried to escape the war?

I apologize for the delay on replying. Holiday, plus every reply I wrote to this sounded sarcastic when I reread it.

In this case, the pokemon from those invading armies would, themselves, not be indigenous. Nor would their descendants. However, I do suspect that some pokemon from previous games, such as Farfetch'd and the elemental monkeys, are actually indigenous to this region. They were just imported to others.

Then again, the Farfetch'd may actually be indigenous to another region, one we haven't seen yet. Its backstory has a lot of similarities to the real-life Dodo.

Next region, Wackyland. Population, 100 nuts and a Pachirisu.

Have we talked about the strange souvenir? And the man from the region that "isn't Kanto, johto, sinnoh, Hoenn or Unova"?

So basically, no one has any idea what this souvenir is about.

Maybe Gamefreak are trolling us...

I'm still wondering what's up with the guy who had those weird dialogue boxes pop up in those caves. Assuming that wasn't fake, it seems like the only lead on anything we have right now...

It may be best to assume its fake until he wants to give us more info, like what pokemon were in his party and what other things he has done. But maybe someone who has caught all pokemon could mess around with things? Just bring some ghosts everywhere or every bird in the den.

One thing i'm curious about; what was it that Looker promised that former Team Flare lady (forgot name) that made her intervene? she makes it sound like something important, as she demands that Looker keep his word, but it's simply conveniently forgotten...

There are only 2 people who can do that: Smea (theguy who leaked the event 'mons), and the guy who runs Pokecheck. Given the rumour came from 4chan (I think), I'm calling BS for now. Very interesting thing to fake if that's the case.

I meant all that can be caught without cheating. >.>

The whole "you are not the one" thing makes me think of a charlie bucket style lottery where some game, somewhere, "is" the one and gets a special pokemon.

Me too!

Biggest mystery to me is the weirdness of Az (don't read if you didn't find him in the game)! I mean... he's a giant person!! Why!? People were giants in ancient Pokemon World history!? For me, he's an alien who travelled to the Pokemon World to rule them all, just like Xerxes played by Rodrigo Santoro in the 300 movie ;D... It's the only answer that fits to me... It's the kind of thing that GF won't explain to you. They just decided it was going to be that way... The reason doesn't matter. I don't know what to say, but, I just think this giant thing should not exist. Az should be normal sized! ;D

I am expecting more details about AZ to be revealed in the third game. Regarding his height, that's crazy. When I first saw him after the Kalos Power Plant, it scared me for a second because of his height.

I was sort of weirded out by learning that Lumiose City had a gang, as well as a whole 'shady underbelly.' It's the happiest place on earth! Except for how there are children going missing, and a gang stealing Pokemon, and that weird Hex Maniac ghost scaring the pee out of me when I was playing late at night... Lumiose City is creepy!

The Lumiose power plant really peaks my interest. We can all conclude that Volcanion is probably found there.....but the thing is that's only one of the the 4 locked passage ways....what could the others led to? I'm assuming neither Diancie or Hoopa as they have other ties and don't really fit in with the theme. Could you have to go through all of them to get to Volcanion? Is there more event legends to be found? Could Volcanion have different forms depending on which power plant? Thoughts? Edit: Upon a closer look only one of them has a visible door, the one with steam volcanoes (hmm I wonder why ;)) The one with the domes has lava under it. There's also a long silver pipe that runs to all of them.

Alright, I'm unsure if this has been mentioned yet, but a lady in Anistar City said, "If this were a mystery novel a treasure would be hidden at the end of the sundial's shadow" this is a bit strange since you can never even access the end of the sundial's shadow. We'll probably never know since Pokemon isn't a mystery novel. I'm still curious if it might be a megastone or something of the like.

I noticed that and tried checking the ground all around the sundial. Nada.

Maybe in the next game?
