Rule #2: While this thread is known for random messages, it is not known for double posting, or even triple posting. If you want to add something to a post you've already made, there is an edit button located at the bottom right corner of your posts. Also, if you want to have multiple quotes, there is an option to multi-quote instead of quoting each post into separate posts.
Rule #3: Random messages can be fun, and is more relaxed when it comes to legibility of posts. However, make sure users are able to read your posts. We do allow some leeway with gibberish and chat-speak, but not every single post is to be in this manner. We also don't allow posts with only gifs, smilies, and spam. If the topic is breaking this rule, or any of the other rules placed here (or in the general rules of Bulbagarden), a staff member may come in to stop it.
Rule #4: No Drama! That's right, this place is meant to be fun and enjoyable for everyone involved. This place is NOT meant for you to air out your dirty laundry, start conflict with others, or act in such a way that puts off other users. This ruins the atmosphere, and dampens the mood of the users there, who are looking to have a good time. This is not limited to: Insulting users or staff, attention seeking (Ex. Constantly posting that you're leaving the thread or Bulbagarden), continuation of discussions referring to infractions received, and bringing drama in from other parts of Bulbagarden. This is a drama free zone and it is not going to be tolerated.
Rule #5: While swearing is allowed on Bulbagarden, it isn't allowed to excessively use foul language, or call users any rude or derogatory names. This can be considered flaming and baiting under the general Bulbagarden rules.
Rule #6: All of the users participating in the RM thread are equals. Regardless of how long you've participated in RM, how long you've been on Bulbagarden, Post count, etc., you are not above the rules.

the second post seems less serious, so can be seen as less offensive or serious and can help avoid potential conflicts.
NOTE: If someone is uncomfortable with something you posted(if they say so or seem bothered by it) do not continue to post things like it. Try to make sure your posts wont offend or bother others and be polite. If a post bothers you or you feel it is rule breaking or problematic, press the Report button on that post(looks like a triangle with an exclamation mark inside) to report it to the staff. Don't try to handle the situation yourself, just let the staff handle it. NEVER be afraid to report something you feel is problematic/offensive/bothersome or rule breaking. You won't get in trouble and the person won't know you reported them. The staff cannot be here at all times so things that need attention can be easily missed. If you're unsure, report anyway, it really does help. Lets all do our part to keep this thread friendly and fun.
Rule #8: Posting links to other sites is usually ok in this thread, as the content of those links can be considered a "random message." However, there are some exceptions. No posting links purely for the sake of advertisement. This means no links to other forums, chatrooms, RPs, etc.
Rule #9: Have fun! This thread is what you, the users, make of it! It can be a wonderful place to socialize, and enjoy silliness with your friends, and possibly even make new friends! So enjoy this thread and let the good times begin!
