Yup. The color was changed and the tail was just split from the start instead of the end, but otherwise it's pretty similar to its final design.

Yeah. It was still Psychic, but instead of friendship, it was planned to evolve with another then-scrapped item called the Heart Stone.

They're amongst my favorites too. My absolute favorite, though, is Mewtwo. Virizion is also close to the top.

Lunala is my most liked Legendary. The Eon Duo, Silvally and Lugia are all a very close 2nd.

beta jumpluff is probably my favorite beta design, even if I do like regular jumpluff

it's a fluffy kitty cat

the deep sea fish and the shark are two other unfortunate losses, as well as the lickitung evolution (lickilicky sucks) and the tangela evolution -- tangrowth is cool, but that grin is killer
