I was due to for a tooth checkup today. Nothing's been paining or like that. Just a routine check-up. I made the reservation a couple months ago, because this was the earliest time I could get.

The day came. I set my alarm clock to wake me up earlier than I'm used to. I tear myself out of the bed. I set up breakfast and turn on my cellphone. Then I notice someone having made a call. Turns out it's from the tooth clinic, and they have some unfortunate news: the doctor is sick and everyone else is on vacation, so the appointment is forced to be cancelled. The earliest possible new appointment time is in October. I have no choice but to move the appointment there.

What a way to start a morning. I wake up feeling tired, thinking it'll all be worth it, only to get tripped at the finish line to this appointment that I've been waiting for weeks, even months, and am told I have to wait for a couple more months. So now I've forced myself up earlier than I feel comfortable with, and it wasn't even worth it. Joy...
