SwSh "Poke Jobs" Discussion/Speculation

A dynamic system? There are several companies that ask for help, so different stats (maybe moves) will be required depending on the situation. But it's bound to get old pretty quickly when you're just sending your Pokemon.

It's basically just a daily rewards system. It's hardly what they expect to keep people most enthralled. It's there if you want to rack up extra stuff. If not, that's fine too. Same as Pelago.

Pretty sure this is the case as opposed to the more active Hyper Training. The screenshots seem to show the trainer sending the Pokémon away to do their own thing.

After chucking your pokemon into balls and locking them in a PC, you can now make them work to earn a roof to sleep under. They really went all out on the early industrial revolution theme

On top of forcing your Pokemon to get big, only to watch them explode upon fainting for sport...

Next games in the series will obviously be the Poke'revolution.

I would love to see a Marx.inspired Team Plasma member to appear as an NPC to protest agaisnt Pkjobs. :ROFLMAO:

PS: will Delia Ketchum's Mr. Mime appear in Galar to start unions!? Strike, strike, strike.

What kind of a connection do you think may be here? Do you think Marnie may be involved?

Maybe this company is who sponsor's Marnie? As far as we know she wasn't endorsed by Leon or Rose, so maybe that company is who endorsed her for the league.

Something I’ve noticed while watching an analysis video of the Gigantamax trailer is that Milo has the logo of one of the Pokéjob places you can send your ‘mons to, the farm place.

I’m curious if this connection will be explored, or if this is just a nice little detail.

I think it's just meant to be world building on a grander scale. It seems all the gym leader's are endorsed by companies, so it makes sense to be able to interact with those companies in some way and not just be a bunch of made up logos. You can see the Macro Cosmos Construction on Bea's outfit as well.

I doubt there's anymore to it than; he's a grass type specialist and a farmer so therefore he is endorsed by a farm company; Construction workers use fighting type pokemon in the Pokemon world, so therefore they endorse the fighting type specialist; and so on.

Looking at that further, Bea has the wrench symbol on her uniform. Looks like Allister has one on his but it isn't on the list, and I didn't see one prominently on Nessa's outfit.

Edit: greninja'd

Pretty sure the "Y"-shaped thingies (see Spoilers tag bellow) that they have on their shirts (which also appear when you battle them) are supposed to be their logo, while the "X" face paint is just there to make them look more punkish and to draw parallels to crazy sports fans (or at least, I think they're supposed to look like crazy sports fans; I don't watch sports (or care about them, for that matter)). Not to mention that it barely resembles that company logo (it's an "X", not a six-pointed star that looks like a Klink's awkward cousin).

Oh im not talking about that. They have a gray patch of the company logo to your left on their shoulder.

Huh, you’re right. That’s really interesting. Maybe the company sponsors Marnie, produces merchandise for her, is owned by her, is a front for Team Yell, or, conversely, uses Team Yell as a front a la Aether and Skull.

Maybe someone from inside the company is responsible for Team Yell rather than Team Yell being a front? Heck, maybe Team Yell and their leader is viewed as an embarrassment to the company but said employee happens to be too good at their actual job that they can't really justify firing the guy.

It'd make for a nice inversion of the Aether Foundation-Team Skull relationship if nothing else.
