What would you like to see in future games.

I really like my exploration in RPGs. The whole "Make Your Own Dungeon Maps" aspect of Etrian Odysseys was so fun.

So when I was reminded that the episode title cards in BW were of a Pokeball on a world map, that really got me thinking about how I would love to see a Pokémon game about exploring an unknown Region and navigating through the terrain, surviving against unforeseen Pokemon and making Dex records for them. Basically being the Pokémon version of Leif Erikson. :p

I know it's asking too much for something so niche, but it would be a dream to see a Pokémon game like that. :lapras:

Defog , Whirlwind , blizzard, heat wave, omnius wind, silver wind, and hurricane to change Tailwinds direction during battle.

Fog to be a ghost type weather condition... or create Rooms for ghost types.

Illuminate and Flash getting a Disabling or re-charging effect similar to Cursed Body. That 30% chance that they cause to block oponents move for 3 turns(when activating) or make him re-charge one turn with what they do now alredy.

Memento decreasin oponents attack and sp. attack 2 stages , and both defences and speed by one stage.

I'd like sidequests. A lot of RPG's I've played have them, and I've always found it a bit strange that Pokemon didn't. Pokemon does have some games with daily repeatable quests, and there are side dungeons present for a bit of extra exploration, but they're not quite what I have in mind. Or if there are sidequests, they are unremarkable at best.

I'd like for there to be side content that helps with worldbuilding and developing some of the side characters like gym leaders or E4s. It would be another way to make the side dungeons a bit more interesting as well, since most of them only exist to have an excuse for certain Pokemon species to appear in a given region. It could also be used for event Pokemon and legendaries too.

As an example, perhaps character X is looking for something that would help them resolve an argument between them and character Y. They player sees their argument, learns a bit about the history between the two characters, and then helps them fix their issue. Another example is character Z who needs help with researching ruins. The player escorts them through a cave (à la gen 4 stat trainer), while Z talks about the history of the region or a legendary or something. At the end of the escort mission, you get some exclusive event legendary item and you've learned some neat myths relating to the game's setting.

At least if I get some awful TM or useless item from a quest, I would have at least learned something about a character, a Pokemon, or a location.

Well, USUM had something like that. Not as fleshed out, but it's a start.

I liked how Chronicles went into a little bit of detail about the creation of badges and how the Fame Checker had some insight into certain characters.
I think your suggestion is great. The Gym leaders need to be more that just barriers and requirements in the agmes and need to be fleshed out. I thought that ASOR was going to expand the quest side but it didn't.
Despite not liking DLC, if done properly and at this point I think that GF should go ahead with it, instead of just having Pokémon giveaways.

more abilities causing actualy flinching? Stench only? now that Dynamax and Inner focus are there and they prevent it.
Fairy is the only type that didn't get a flinch inducing move??? poison too???
what types have only one kind of that move? electric and grass?

also abilities and moves forcing oponents to re-charge a turn as addiction to flinching... Paralaze, sleep and confussion are cool but a seperate thing from regular flinching would be cool too and if it would affect Inner focus users and Dynamaxed pokemon too.

I really loved the fame checker, and I wish they brought that back too. It's was a nice way to compile all of the things you learned about everyone. There's a lot of characters I really like, but a lot of the time the interesting dialogue relating to them is found in some really obscure location or is said only once during the main story. It'd be nice to have it all organized so I don't have to search Youtube or Bulbapedia for a few lines of dialogue.

I haven't played Platinum yet either, but the Villa you are given in the post-game allows you to invite the gym leaders over to talk to them about stuff. I've seen their dialogue, and it's another thing I really liked and wanted to see again, because they were interesting to talk to (imo). Why is it so expensive though The memory link episodes fron Gen 5 were great, too.

I've been playing Pokemon Masters in the hopes of getting to see some interesting character stories, and I'm a disappointed since most of 1-on-1 episodes and character exchanges seem to be either "I train really hard", "Pokemon are friends", "I almost died but a Pokemon saved me", or something surface-level that we could easily get from a regular playthrough of the main series. Maybe it'll improve, but for now I am not satisfied with what it has.

While I can't see this as a main Pokémon game, I think it can work as a spin-off.

Damp blocking all moves with power of 150 and above... Think of it... Immunity to Z-moves, Hyper beam, Giga Impact, would make sense.

Fairy and poison move that cause flinching? ghost, grass, electric , fire also would need one more really

Would be cool to get 40% chance of activation and betwen 75 and 90% accuracy.
Especially types like bug, ice, grass, poison, dragon, electric, psychic are types that need to worry about pokemon with immunities or abilities that are immune to them... ghost moves don't work on normal pokemon....
Taking that many pokemon can use priority moves too and can hit before You actually do.

Taking now that we have Inner Focus, Stead Fast and Dynamax pokes are now immune.
Would make Oblivious and White Smoke also protect from it actually.
(imagine a new ability that bounces back all status conditions and more: burn, paralyze, freezing, hp draining, trapping, flinching, sleeping and confusion back to the oponent who tries to use it on you)

Taking that 2 have 100%accuracy and 100% activation like Fling and Fake Out... weird
that Astonish a very weak ghost move with power 30 only has 30% activation rate when Bite has power 60?
I know that Gengar is fast and learns Fake Out... but normal pokes are immune to ghost moves.

Ghost have it much harder with dark types, Srappy users , normal types , Odor Sleuth , Foresight and other ghosts then
dragon have with fairies, psychic with dark, electric with ground , ground with flying and poison with steel...
No wonder they escape trapping, good that they have Curse and some good abilities like Cursed Body, Wonder Guard and Disquise users because they have it hard if they don't have Disable or Encore.

How does it even make sense? Explosion and self destruct make sense because explosions cannot occur in damp environment but what about being Water, Electric, Grass, Fairy, Flying, Fighting, Dragon, Ghost, Poison and the other types? Every 150+ BP move being blocked make sure no sense.

There arent so much if you think about that(10 moves) and would make Damp really good acually not too good but good.
Technically a Hyper beams is powerfull like a explosion or self destruct and how it is Damp

Mindblown what has base power 150 is already blocked by it.
Prevents the user from suing self-destructing moves make not much sense.
Making users immune to those moves is better.
When we think about that moves that cause recoil damage like Flare Blitz and Brave Bird that are self-destructing, ghost Curse is self destructing, Belly Drum, Hyper fang, every move that involves lost of hp by user of that move is self-destructing.
Shel Trap.

"The floor becomes defused, preventing all explosions, including moves such as Explosion and traps such as the Explosion Trap. The Blast Seed and Blast Wand will also become ineffective in the presence of a Pokémon with Damp."

Damp blocking all moves with 150+ power would be way unbalanced.

did you looked how many we got with base power 150 and higher?
there are less then Bulletproof blocks right now.
I think Damp would balance it right and get some meaning in the game.
____

Suction Cups - prevent switching but should block some moves like Sky Drop, moves that Toss and throw oponent actually.

Seriously why we didn't get a fire, gras and water switching move actually yet?
_

Hmmm Greninja line with Poison Touch?

Charmander and Charmelon with Poison Touch or Poison Point?

taking they are frogs and lizards.

Taking that Sceptile has those its seeds on back maybe Harest or Effect Spore? Sniper or Run Away?
Emergency Exit also would be nice... tha Early Bird would make sense with Ash Sceptile battling Darkrai.

Torterra with the Disquise ability? Imagine it's land scape could fill that role? it's nature powers could fill that actually.
Taking it's speed that would be the needed buff for it and good against ice types.

The point is, it doesn't make sense at all for every single 150+ power moves to be blocked by Damp because most of them don't even involve explosions.

Yeah, and Blast Burn, Eruption, Focus Punch, Frenzy Plant, Giga Impact, Head Smash, Hydro Cannon, Roar of Time, V-Create, Water Spout aint explosions

more grass moves with vines, seed, roots, seaweed, and petal in their names.

Fire type moves with different colors, green, black, blue, white, yellow depending either on pokemons design or the move itself.

Hot sand, Lava and Magma as actual pokemon moves that are ground and rock typed and cause burn.

Flame body and Magma Armor, should get buffed, both should cause burns, magma armor prevents freezing and re-freezes nothing more?
come on it's magma could reduce rock and ground type damage by half actually.
