The very fact you refer to the likes of Galarian Weezing, Corviknight, etc. as “bad decisions” completely undermines your point that the bad grades you gave are anything more than pollutants. :3c
Sword and Shield are full of bad decisions already, and the games haven’t even been released yet.
My point is, the overall grade of F- stands, even if minor individual aspects might be decent to okay.
You can pass one or two tests, or get good grades on a few assignments and still fail the class.

And yes, while not specifically Galarian Weezing, I do think that Galarian forms are one of those “bad decisions” that had been made with regard to the game.
It was cute when they did it once, but pulling the same shtick twice in a row proves that they’re running out of ideas.
Why not make whole new Pokémon instead of rehashing old ones?
Or, if you’re going to revamp an old Pokémon, or give it an evolution, why lock it to a specific region? Game Freak never used to do that, even when introducing new evolutions to old Pokémon in later games.

Well gee, Professor, I know there are some bad decisions thrown in the mix, but are you gonna flunk SwoShi just because you grade each of the Alcremie forms individually? :v
You bet your butt I will. Especially since they took the time to come up with models for each of those different forms and then had the gall to say one of the reasons the National Dex was being scrapped was because of how difficult it would be to create models for all of the Pokémon.

I mean, the concept of certain Pokémon species being differently adapted to a certain region seems creative to me and something that can be justifiably expanded into future generations as we’ve seen so far. I rather like how it gives some old Pokémon something extra about them, often even better, with a justification lore-wise. For the most part, anyways. glares at the random non-improvement that is Alolan Raichu And Galarian Weezing especially...I already was a fan of the Koffing family, but Galarian Weezing is a dream come true! A good dream come true!

Eh. It’s still extremely sloppy to start doing this seven generations in, with no explanation as to why Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, or Kalos specific variants don’t exist.

Besides, again, give us new Pokémon, not rehashed old ones. I mean, I like my old Pokémon as much as the next guy, but I don’t need 50 different forms of Charizard or Mewtwo to appreciate them as they were. In fact, the more forms, or copies, they make of the originals, the more it dampens the significance of those originals and takes away what made them unique and special to me. I do feel similar about Mega forms, too, but at least that was slightly more sensical.
...
WHAT THE-
It was delicious. :p
