Do you record your commentary on the same track as the recording from the game?I’ve actually had to scrap and re-record segments of my LP because of swearing. Stupid, lousy “Made for kids” nonsense.
Is OBS capable of that? I admit that I haven't had quite an extensive look.Do you record your commentary on the same track as the recording from the game?
If you record on a separate audio track you can make edits to the commentary later such as removing swearing and adjusting audio levels but your game footage is still fine to use as it was.
Don't really know much about OBS as I haven't used that software but I use a fairly low-tech solution to record game footage and commentary audio separately. I capture the game footage and game audio and on my main laptop with the video capture software whilst similtaneously capturing the commentary audio on my old laptop using Audacity while I'm playing. I then sync the commentary track with the game footage in editing, syncing's a pain but it's worth it for the extra flexibility if audio editing is needed. Is OBS capable of that? I admit that I haven't had quite an extensive look.
I record both through OBS, so no.Do you record your commentary on the same track as the recording from the game?
So the game audio and commentary are serparate?I record both through OBS, so no.
They are on the same track with the video then, yeah there's much you can do with editing as you'll also remove the game audio if you cut bits out. They’re in the same file. .mp4, I believe.
The boss might not edit, but i do and i am going to look into this. Thanks.Wasn't meaning that as any sort of critisism, sorry if it seemed that way was just meaning it can save having to scrap and redo stuff.
