It's got a pretty sucky moveset, hasn't it? And the combination of that and its hold item make no sense!

The only moves it can use while awake are Yawn and Rest. Yawn sends the opponent to sleep after one turn. Rest heals it and sends it to sleep. HOWEVER, Chesto Berry wakes it up! Meaning that it can only use Yawn or Rest if the opponent has attacked it (because otherwise it'd be full HP)

Basically, it can only do damage to the opponent if it is asleep, so holding a Chesto Berry is just silly!

And as for having Sleep Talk... Well, there's a one in three chance it could use Rest... which would fail because it's already asleep and a one in three chance it would use Snore, which it could have used anyway...

Yeah......I'm not really into gunslinging.......besides...I think Pikachu is total kawaii!!!....Ok maybe not, but still, who doesn't want event Pikachus with different movesets?!

Its called NOVELTY.

Its called an Onemuri Pikachu, so all its moves and even its item makes perfect sense. Not everything in this [Pokemon] world caters to competitive battling.

Too bad they can't make these things have unique sprites

Its also annoying how you have to win a draw in order to have the rights to buy a Pikachu DS Lite.
