I didn't memorize any of that stuff and I got a higher SAT score than more than half of the people I know who got into my college. Imagine if I had memorized it.

I think each mod has there own style, they'll use similar methods of addressing an issue. I don't have much of a pattern, and that's mostly down to the fact the sections I mod are generally less troublesome. But I'd say that just because a mod uses a template answer, that doesn't mean that they haven't properly addressed the issue, it's just that they have found the best way to inform a user of incorrect behaviour, identity what's wrong, pointing to rules etc and use that template to remove as much bias as possible.
